As of June 2017 gift certificates are no longer reimbursed. Link to buy gift certicates
According to this thread in the Alaska forum the reimbursement of Alaska Club memberships is no longer a problem. To see how much of your annual credit you've used, log in to AmEx, select the card in question, choose "Membership->Benefits" off the menu bar, scroll down to see the travel credit benefit. (with thanks to Lumpylump76)
Tickets cancelled within 24 hours are refunded back to the card used for the purchase.Tickets for travel dates > 60 days out can be deposited to your wallet when cancelled (this has not been true for some time). Change fees may apply depending on your status. Change fees are waived for MVP Gold and MVP Gold 75k members according to this page: https://www.alaskaair.com/content/mi...ID:MileagePlan (expand "service benefits" towards the bottom of the page). The wallet funds will expire one year after the issue date of the original ticket.

Since it looks like small ticket amounts are being reimbursed - can we try to determine the upper end for it?
From the posts above, there is atleast one post about $104 being reimbused:

Anyone went higher? Since Alaska has free cancellation/changes, one can always buy a ticket to park the money for the next year.
You should expect it to - Amex explicitly says that flight change fees are covered. https://www.americanexpress.com/us/c...redit/platinum

$70 fare change fee (moved my flight up a day) from 6/16 did not get reimbursed yet, not expecting it to at this point.

Thanks for reporting that change fees is working.
To clarify, was this the $125 change fees only? Or did Amex reimburse any ticket value also (e.g. if you changed a $50 ticket to a $100 ticket and paid $50 upcharge).
If its amex reimbursing upcharges, then maybe we can use alaska free changes and change a $60 flight to a $260 flight and get reimbursed?

Too bad gift cards no longer work for AS.
In these two cases I got credit
1.
- Had $355 sitting in Alaska Wallet
- Bought a $395 ticket (using wallet $)
- $40 was charged to Amex card
- Couple days later $40 charge was credited to Reimbursement Charge.
2.
- Purchased an Alaska Award ticket with $18.10 in charges, was also reimbursed

Were these automatically reimbursed, or did you have to call in and pretend the charges were something else? I had a one-way flight for $41.20 post to my account on 01/09/17, and I haven't seen any action so far.

So, basically, there's no definite answer as to what works?

Use AmEx Plat on 9/11 to pay for fees on award tickets, all fee transactions were less than $70. As of 9/28, no credit has appeared. It looks pretty dead.

I bought a couple of domestic award tickets on 9/20, and two credits appeared 9/24.
IIRC, there's a place to see progress towards the $200 credit limit, but I can't seem to find it--since it's not mentioned in the wiki, can someone remind me where to find that information?
