Reminder: you must enroll and select AS as your airline BEFORE making a reimbursable purchase. Click HERE to enroll.
As of June 2017 gift certificates are no longer reimbursed. Link to buy gift certicates

According to this thread in the Alaska forum the reimbursement of Alaska Club memberships is no longer a problem. To see how much of your annual credit you've used, log in to AmEx, select the card in question, choose "Membership->Benefits" off the menu bar, scroll down to see the travel credit benefit. (with thanks to Lumpylump76)

Tickets cancelled within 24 hours are refunded back to the card used for the purchase. Tickets for travel dates > 60 days out can be deposited to your wallet when cancelled (this has not been true for some time). Change fees may apply depending on your status. Change fees are waived for MVP Gold and MVP Gold 75k members according to this page: https://www.alaskaair.com/content/mi...ID:MileagePlan (expand "service benefits" towards the bottom of the page). The wallet funds will expire one year after the issue date of the original ticket.

As a DP, I got my first 50 reimbursed. I paid for 150 in 2 more transactions so lets hope I get that back too. Third was $50 and forth was actually adding 2 $50 GCs. I thought they may be charged as 50 *2 but it went through as 1 $100 transaction. I hope that 100 is paid back too otherwise I would have learnt a $100 lesson ( hope not!)

I bought 4x $50 cards in one go; it showed up as a single $200 transaction on 12/23, and I haven't been reimbursed yet. Should I try again with two $100 transactions?

Suggest you buy $50 today; $50 tomorrow, etc. That way there is no chance they will be combined. Stop if the 12/23 transaction is reimbursed. Cheers.

Not sure when I will see the credit but when I went to benefits page it says I have exhausted my 200 benefit for 2016. So I am going to assume by tomorrow i should 150 back in credit.

I just bought $100 AS gift card, but hasn't posted. In order to receive the credit does it need to post before 12/31? I would like to purchase my second one.

I only recently got the card thus the cramming.

I believe so, I would buy them today if possible.

It took about 2 days before the charge posted so today would be the last day. Also all the AS GC posted and got the credit for it.

is a $100 GC OK for reimbursement?

I see a lot of people posting (very) recently about buying $50 GC's, and a few references to keeping the amount "under $100".

Are there any data points of $100 GC purchases NOT being reimbursed?

I purchased a $100 GC 2.5 days ago, it posted to my Amex account 2 days ago but has not been reimbursed yet. I was going to buy another $100 GC today, but I just looked back at this thread and saw all the $50 purchases, so I bought a $50 instead. I guess I'll buy another $50 tomorrow (my Amex charges always seem to post the same or next day, so I should be OK in terms of it posting in 2016).

[Update: $100 reimbursement is posted (says it posted yesterday but it wasn't there when I checked last night). Now I just hope my 2x$50 charges get posted fast enough. Ahh the life of a procrastinator]

It takes about 2 days after the posting to see the reimbursement. Right after I changed my airline choice to AS, I tried 50 and on 27th I saw the reimbursement. On 25th I bought rest of them, first 50, second 100 (actually bought 2 GCs in the same transaction and it posted as 100 rather than 2 50) and yesterday it was reimbursed.

Late purchase?

Anyone ever purchase them on 12/31? I just bought 4 but no clue whether they will count against my 2016 or 2017 balance. Feel like a dope for forgetting to purchase these
