Let's hope things begin to improve and if not we continue to press the FA's to follow company policy.

@AmericanAir 08/18 AA123 ORG Limited #PDBServed

This allows all PDB service to be posted, good, bad, and otherwise. This should show AA that we feel this is a desired service. Maybe if someone gets energetic, a summary post could be done, maybe weekly?

So Orange Juice and Water require a liquor license now?

No, I apologize...I don't consider juice, soda, water, etc. to be PDBs, although they are part of it. The FA took individual drink orders, just wouldn't serve alcohol until in the air.

The FA was correct.

Connecticut, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Wyoming:
Liquor may not be sold or served in the following stations while on the ground, though liquor may be served in flight to and from these stations:
Hartford
Jackson Hole
Kansas City
Oklahoma City
Tulsa
Wichita
St. Louis.

Strange... I definitely had a PDB on an STL-ORD flight about a year ago, but AFAIK I haven't gotten any other PDBs out of STL, so perhaps it was a one-time FA mistake.

Last week I flew from MSP-DFW-SDF and got a choice of whatever I would like on both segments.

JFK-SEA: water or OJ or something else. Lazy way to get out of offering a full PDB....why not just ask people what they would like?

I've seen this before. Since the choice was "water or OJ or something else," why do you say this is not a full PDB? That "something else" covers it. In all likelihood this was a morning flight and historically a majority of the passengers will ask for water or OJ so it was actually excellent service because the FA was able to deliver certain passengers' choices immediately. In such a situation, I've previously asked for a Bloody Mary and had no problem in receiving one.

What is AA's PDB policy

In about 16 segments the past 18 months in F never been offered one.
Not even water.

Today delayed after boarding for entree catering (the rest is there including water and all beverages) and still nada the past :35 (in DFW by the way today).

Not mad just curious.

I've never gotten one but I don't upgraded that often out of DFW. Last year on United, leaving EWR on the last flight of the evening, we could get in at least 2

I'd say I get one about one in four F flights. About half the time it's Water/OJ, and about the other half it's any beverage.

I honestly wouldn't mind it only being water/Orange Juice if it were offered every flight.

These were all paid F fares except one for those thinking I am ungrateful.

Again just curious what others experiences are.

Eh, somewhere around 50%, with about 50% of those being in the form of the water tray, the rest being asked for a specific order. I must say that as a legacy AA guy, after hearing years of US-bashing and merger fearmongering (some of which, such as meal changes, has proven warranted), this is something that US does much better.

For me, it's almost always been OJ/water and sometimes OJ/water/sparkling wine or OJ/water/mimosa. A few months ago, the purser offered pre-boarding rum punch as an option on a flight to SJO. It was delicious. She said she tries to offer that on her flights to the Caribbean and Central America.

What is AA's PDB policy

Well the big wait was for Artichoke Ravioli.
As someone who despises artichokes of course it was the only meal left in row 3 (on a 738).

Due to IRROPS yesterday in DFW I am on this flight so no preorder (flight to PBI was canceled and best they could do in F was to FLL).

Thanks for the replies and again was just curious and not mad nor complaining.

Service has been great this far.

Never been denied anything I've asked for unless there are time constraints or they can't do PDB service due to local law. If it isn't offered, just ask.
