I also received a nice note from Hector Adler who I also reached out to who said that pre-departure services were discussed at great length at a meeting late last week. Let's hope things begin to improve and if not we continue to press the FA's to follow company policy.

So there you have it.

@AmericanAir 08/18 AA123 ORG Full #PDBServed
@AmericanAir 08/18 AA123 ORG Limited #PDBServed

This allows all PDB service to be posted, good, bad, and otherwise. This should show AA that we feel this is a desired service. Maybe if someone gets energetic, a summary post could be done, maybe weekly?

Next time I'll use more...

Sometimes people tell a big story but when it comes down to it they wimp out, and probably should.

5/22 AA1376 MIA-SXM - Full PDB by the two guys in front working together. Boarding started early and most were on board with plenty of time to spare, so they did the right thing and started engaging the full first class cabin. The GREAT service continued all the way. I offered them a couple of EXP Thank You certs on the way out.

5/25 AA40 BOS-ORD ^ - despite the crew almost timing out, and a 50 min. departure delay, cheerful crew offered PDBs.

Good week this week. 1.5 PDB's LAX-SFO-LAX. The .5 was water only on the return, but the flight was running late and they were in a rush to board everyone and get going so I give them credit for the effort.

That actually does surprise me a little, as the ORD-DCA crews are typically superb.

HNL-LAX FLT#162 Water or OJ. Sadly we boarded early and the crew had plenty of time to gossip in the galley. However once in the air it was two airline bottles at a time.

PHL-FLL AA583 last night. Full PDB. More impressive was that the FA took four complex orders, stepped into Y for a few minutes, returned to F and prepared all four drinks correctly from memory. I couldn't do that.

On Eagle...I flew this route for 18 months on mainline and got a PDB less than 10% of the time.

I was pleasantly surprised: on a 75-mile Express (or whatever AA calls regional carriers) flight this morning, we got PDB, drinks during the flight and a snack basket, all on a brand-new plane. Excellent.
