3/16 PIT - CLT: 14/28, 6 cleared at gate (weather concerns prior to flight)
3/16 -CLT - PIT 9/23, 2 cleared (2 hr delay)

DCA --> TPA morning of flight was 3/18. 60 minutes before flight, was 1/18. One seat. Upgrade cleared at 5 minutes prior to boarding
TPA --> DCA upgrade cleared at T-26 hours. 5 seats open when my upgrade cleared

EXP with 260k LPs

DFW-ATL 3/18, 2 on PRN, EF showed 8 open seats, upgrades offered at $181 each, cleared at T-24, possibly with two others at the same time, Exec Plat w/~350k rolling.

LAS-CLT 3/19: I am PPro and was19/37 for 0 seats. 1 cleared at the gate.

ATL-DFW, 3/21, 2 on PRN, EF showed 5 open seats, upgrades had been offered at $112 each, both cleared at T-24.5, again possibly with two others at the same time, Exec Plat w/~350k rolling.

Cleared JFK-LHR 7 days out, two passengers. SWU

3/29/26 AA912 SCL-MIA: 1 and 2 out of 10. One seat opened at the gate and I gave it to my partner.

3/30/26 AA2933 MIA-SFO: 1 and 2 out of 18 on the list (did not apply SWU to this leg). One seat opened up right before the door closed. I took this one :)

TPA-ORD, 4/02. EF showed C2 J4 last night , upgrades had been offered starting at like 350 got down to $165 last evening

It was a J to F upgrade, so it’s about A inventory being available. RM is probably more amenable to clearing this last minute by opening A space than they are with C space.

This is certainly interesting. I also wonder who they're calling. I think most people in revenue management are not really in an operations role they are people who manage inventory and file fares. I wonder who from revenue management actually takes these calls and what sort of decisions they are making.

So low LP EXPLAT here.. I’m just wonder how many play around with doing same-day changes
To flights that have more C&J space available to try and catch an upgrade.?
I’ve done it before and it’s backfired a couple times?
Anybody else try this game?

No, I only SDC to get home quicker, not putz around on the chance I get my drinks in glass and few extra inches of seat-width.

• DEN-CLT, A321, Tuesday, ~930am: Cleared at ~30 hours
• CLT-DCA, 738, Tuesday, ~4pm: Cleared at 100 hours
• DCA-CLT, A320, Thursday, ~830am: Cleared at ~26 hours
• CLT-DEN, A321, Thursday, ~1130am: Cleared at the gate (last seat).

EXP, maybe ~300k rolling LP. Don't really know - did 42k LP in March alone.

I've found that SDFC is seldom available via the app nowadays.
