Today we received our "refund" for the rebooking of our AA flight from Rome to Philadelphia to San Francisco to a BA flight through Heathrow leaving a few hours earlier.

They gave us $150 in AA vouchers. We aren't AA members. We never even fly AA. That was possibly the second time I've flown AA in my life.

I don't want AA vouchers. We were told we'd get a "partial refund." Where do they get off calling an AA-only-voucher for a measly $150 a "refund."

Can I contest this somehow or do something else with it?

it was completely packed, actually. I think they had multiple flights they were rebooking all crammed onto the plane, not sure, but there were no empty seats that I noticed. Although it was a BA plane, a double-decker one, not one I've flown in before, horribly bumpy in the furthest rear seats where we were seated for about eleven hours. Perhaps the upstairs area or some of first class was empty.

I felt like I was in the movie Snowpiercer back there.

However, BA was a nice carrier with good service and vastly superior to AA, so I'm really not complaining.

AA didn't even have WiFi or any in-flight entertainment outbound for either leg of our flights from SFO-PHL or PHL-FCO, and I overheard them say it had been that way for three days. If I were them, I would have sent someone out with a ukelele or done charades or ANYTHING AT ALL to entertain the flight. It was a blistering 18-odd-hours in the hour.

AA2116 DCA-BOS, scheduled departure 5:30 p.m., not posted delayed and 6:15 p.m. departure. However, incoming aircraft AA 2115 LGA-DCA and delayed and currently posted as arrival at DCA on 7:35 p.m. Alright..., see when I will get out DCA. Thunderstorm forecasted after 3 p.m. at D.C. area but looks good so far.

The incoming aircraft did not make to DCA, now posting 9:21 departure. :(

All flights were booked due to holiday weekend, AAngle looked up connecting ar LGA, PHL, ORD, CLT, etc. but none available. AAngle double booked me on 9:00 departure flight 2150, and upgrade just cleared! :) Going home finally.

Friend is sitting on tarmac at PBI after a diversion on AA207, Milan MXP to Miami MIA -- they landed 3 hours ago and will not take them to a gate. Current scheduled diversion make-up flight from PBI to MIA (20 minutes at most) is not for 3 more hours.

I thought the Northwest Detroit tarmac rule meant that passengers had to be deplaned after three hours. Does that not apply to international flights? PBI does have daily Bahamas service, so there should be some on-duty Customs and Immigration folks.

Are the Bahamas flights from Nassau? If so that's a preclearance airport.

The tarmac rule has different requirements for domestic vs. international. For international it's 4 hours, subject to certain exceptions.

For PHL-CDG (AA754), that's twice in last three nights.

Does anyone have access to Flight Aware for longer lookbacks? I hate to exaggerate, but I swear that it is averaging >1 cancellation per week since I started watching late May, and I am curious as to how much greater than one per week (one-and-a-half?).... not to mention the return flight AA755 taking a long trip to nowhere (return to CDG) not that long ago.

AA 6154 / BA 193 codeshare from LHR-DFW on 25 JUL 2019 at 3:40pm has been cancelled. This has been verified by calls to BA, AA and additionally verified on ExpertFlyer.
