Terminal D Admirals Club (with its not quite Flagship First Dining) closed 7 April 2018 (concurrently with the reopening of the refurbished Terminal A Admirals Club). The new D Club reopened 16 May 2019 encompassing a Flagship Lounge that will serve qualifying passengers of AA, BA, QF, QR (instead of their operating contract lounges), an Admirals Club and Flagship First Dining facility.

The new Terminal D Admirals Club, Flagship Lounge and Flagship First Dining facility is OPEN. This thread is now archived. Please follow and discuss the facility here: Dallas DFW “D” Admirals Club, Flagship Lounge, Flagship First Dining 16 May 2019
Reimagining our lounges
An update on what’s next at DFW
We know you travel through Dallas Fort Worth often. And we can’t wait for you to experience our all-new Terminal D Admirals Club®, Flagship® Lounge and Flagship® First Dining in 2019.

To complete construction sooner, we’ve temporarily closed the Admirals Club lounge and International First Class Dining in Terminal D.

You’ll still have several Admirals Club lounges at DFW:

* NOW OPEN: Terminal A (near gate A24) (fully opened 7 Apr 2018)

* Terminal B (near gate B4)

* Terminal C (near gate C19)

*If you’re traveling on a qualifying international First or Business ticket* or have qualifying status**, you can visit our temporary Premium Lounge in Terminal D (near gate D36).

The interim “Premium Lounge” across from gate D36 is now open for qualified international passengers (not Admirals Club members on non-Flagship or Admirals Lounge qualifying flights):

*Includes international flights between the U.S. and Asia, Australia, Central America, Europe, Mexico City (MEX), New Zealand and South America

**Includes AAdvantage® Executive Platinum, Platinum Pro and Platinum status departing on or connecting to a qualifying international flight (between the U.S. and Asia, Australia, Central America, Europe, Mexico City MEX, New Zealand and South America) marketed and operated by American or a oneworld® carrier (regardless of cabin). ConciergeKeySM and oneworld (excl AAdvantage) Emerald/Sapphire members get access when traveling the same day on any flight marketed and operated by American or a oneworld airline (regardless of cabin).
This interim ad hoc but spacious Premium Lounge now has its liquor license; some report there are a few showers.

DFW D AC access

read entire thread...... I understand as an AC member I will now have to visit A, C, or B AC’s.

What I am not clear on is after the renovation and re-opening of D lounge... will folks with AC membership have access?

It is presumed that the majority of the "current" AC space in D will be converted into a Flagship Lounge, and a small(er) portion will reopen as a standard domestic AC.

Intl F dining was closed on March 20th.

I would expect them to be torn out and completely re-done. I also anticipate that they will be only available in the Flagship Lounge portion and not in the regular Admirals Club.

Even though I will have showered at home 4/8 before my DFW-ugh LHR), as a public service to the great unwashed public, I will report on the showers.

I was at DFW on April 2 and asked lots of questions.
  1. The DFW-A club will open on Friday April 6 or Saturday April 7. They want to open April 6 but there are some glitches, so current thinking is that it will be April 7.
  2. The very minute that the DFW-A club opens, the DFW-D club will close.
  3. There will be a new "Premium Lounge" (temporary) above gate D-36 (with elevator or staircase access across from the gate, i.e. toward the land side of the concourse).
  4. That "Premium Lounge" will be an international lounge: access given to Plats / Exps / OWS / OWE on a qualifying international itinerary.
  5. Regular AC members NOT on an international itinerary will be directed to the clubs in A, B or C
I had planned a special trip to DFW on April 6 to see the new DFW-A club on opening day. Having redeemed miles for the trip, I can easily change the travel date, once the opening date of DFW-A is firm. According to several of my friends who actually work in the AC, they think it will be Saturday April 7, but the maintenance guys (who repair the coffee machines, etc.) think it will be Friday April 6. My best guess: Saturday April 7. FWIW I was at the original opening of the club, many years ago.

When did it originally open? How different was it then compared to just prior to this renovation?

Just had the AUS Admirals Club call the DFW Admirals Club regarding A Terminal opening date. As of 2 minutes ago, Health Department is coming today for an inspection, and planned opening is this coming Monday.

That was a big deal, given that included the “A” Flagship and Arrivals lounges.
