Terminal D Admirals Club (with its not quite Flagship First Dining) closed 7 April 2018 (concurrently with the reopening of the refurbished Terminal A Admirals Club). The new D Club reopened 16 May 2019 encompassing a Flagship Lounge that will serve qualifying passengers of AA, BA, QF, QR (instead of their operating contract lounges), an Admirals Club and Flagship First Dining facility.
This interim ad hoc but spacious Premium Lounge now has its liquor license; some report there are a few showers.
The new Terminal D Admirals Club, Flagship Lounge and Flagship First Dining facility is OPEN. This thread is now archived. Please follow and discuss the facility here: Dallas DFW “D” Admirals Club, Flagship Lounge, Flagship First Dining 16 May 2019
Reimagining our lounges
An update on what’s next at DFW
We know you travel through Dallas Fort Worth often. And we can’t wait for you to experience our all-new Terminal D Admirals Club®, Flagship® Lounge and Flagship® First Dining in 2019.
To complete construction sooner, we’ve temporarily closed the Admirals Club lounge and International First Class Dining in Terminal D.
You’ll still have several Admirals Club lounges at DFW:
* NOW OPEN: Terminal A (near gate A24) (fully opened 7 Apr 2018)
* Terminal B (near gate B4)
* Terminal C (near gate C19)
*If you’re traveling on a qualifying international First or Business ticket* or have qualifying status**, you can visit our temporary Premium Lounge in Terminal D (near gate D36).
The interim “Premium Lounge” across from gate D36 is now open for qualified international passengers (not Admirals Club members on non-Flagship or Admirals Lounge qualifying flights):
*Includes international flights between the U.S. and Asia, Australia, Central America, Europe, Mexico City (MEX), New Zealand and South America
**Includes AAdvantage® Executive Platinum, Platinum Pro and Platinum status departing on or connecting to a qualifying international flight (between the U.S. and Asia, Australia, Central America, Europe, Mexico City MEX, New Zealand and South America) marketed and operated by American or a oneworld® carrier (regardless of cabin). ConciergeKeySM and oneworld (excl AAdvantage) Emerald/Sapphire members get access when traveling the same day on any flight marketed and operated by American or a oneworld airline (regardless of cabin).

Okay, I am now convinced this is the location for the new temporary DFW AC - the second level above the check-in desks to the right of the D30 security checkpoint.
Since my last photo post, they've added the three desks/terminals in the right corner (in addition to the 3 in the left that were already there), and the Arrivals/Departure Monitors have been hung and are working:
It looks like it should extend to the middle room where there are chairs and tables, and possibly the left room, where the doors appear to be restroom doors.

What was that space used for before? Could it be possible that it ends up staying the AC while the current lounge becomes the FL?
Also, they are definitely setting up an outdoor delivery platform to get large items in and out of the current lounge right in the middle. A makeshift construction door is there and they have built scaffolding going up.

Do we have any further information on the alternate option for D?

To reply to several posts here:
Terminal D is not closing.
Terminal A Club is due to reopen April 6, and the D Club (including the already closed temporary International First Class Dining Room, nee Flagship Dining room) is presumably due to close the same day. There is to be a reduced size interim lounge restricted to premium flyers.
I’m sure it will be posted when we do know more.
When D Club reopens the Club will be reduced in size, the Flagship Lounge will take up much of the old Club space and will be the premium lounge used by BA, QF, QR, etc. Thete will be a full Flagship First Dining facility to replace the awkward semi-Flagship café in the old Club smoking room.
A new door to the apron has been carved out of the glass wall near the Club checking desk to allow hauling up of larger equipment.

(Asking because I'll hit DFW on a qualifying itinerary, early next week.)

Unfortunately there is no temporary setup that I saw. They are no longer distributing the Int'l First Dining cards, either. I just ordered Twisted Root through the AA app and ate it with a beer I used my drink coupons on.

You’re correct; we have had reports, iirc, D dining had already closed. No temporary setup I’m aware of - it was already just a temporary setup. (I’m at sea with occasional connectivity - not easy to bring up and reference other threads from my iPhone - but I’m adding those here and repurposing the thread.

So the INTL F Dining *is*, indeed, closed already?
Strange they would do that before closing the club completely.
I have a 10pm to LHR next week and was looking forward to eating before so I could sleep, as I usually do.

It was open on 7 March, but the only edibles were a passable (if overly salted) lobster bisque and a nice peasant style bread. Iirc, it has been reported as closed by a member or two, but even if it was currently open I’d recommend one of the terminal D restaurant dining offerings.

Plus, as a local DFW resident, most of the D dining options are underwhelming and over priced.
Looking forward to the FL opening, though!
