● Admirals Club has reciprocity agreements for access under specified conditions to Alaska Airlines Board Room, Qantas Club, and some individual lounges (e.g. DUB, DUS, FRA, MXP, ZRH etc. Please use the Lounge Dashboard "sticky" thread to easily find the threads discussing these other airline lounge access requirements and to the master threads pertaining to specific lounges. (These do not apply to One Dap Pass holders.)

● Note: Members are able to contact Admirals Club Member Services (see below) 24 hours in advance even when not flying and request gate passes for themselves and others meeting at an Admirals Club for business purposes:

VISITING THE Admirals Club WHEN NOT FLYING

Members not flying can access Clubs when they have airside access and the airport doesn’t restrict lounge access to departing passengers.

Members can not secure a gate pass from a ticket agent.

Members can not secure a gate pass with merely "declared business purpose" for themselves and others any longer (14 Sep 2016).

Members and non-members can schedule and attend business meetings in the Admirals Club® or Executive Center if they have rented a conference room in a Club with such and are registered on the daily meeting list. See below.

This requires arrangements at least 24 (workday) hours in advance.

FAQ link including a Club access.

Q. I am a member and would like to meet someone at the airport, but I'm not flying today on AA, AS or oneworld airline. Can I get through Security to get to the Admirals Club lounge?

A: No. Only those registered in advance and attending a conference in a rented conference room may have access. Casual access / walking up to the ticket counter to request a gate pass is not permitted; please do not put employees in an uncomfortable position by asking.

To do so you must :
  • Present a valid government I.D.
  • Have your name on the daily meeting list

To add names of those attending an event in a rented conference room to the daily meeting list, call at least 24 hours in advance:
  • Admirals Club number/AAdvantage® number
  • Legal name as it appears on government issued identification for each individual
  • Birth dates, including year, for each individual (maximum of two guests allowed for non-conference room meeting)*
  • Location, date and time of non-conference room meeting

We will arrange for Security clearance with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to allow you to get to the lounge. This opportunity is available for Admirals Club members only (and their authorized guests), and you will be required to show your Admirals Club membership card, along with a government-issued photo ID.

*(Times corrected to current service center hours)

Q. CAN I PURCHASE A FULLY REFUNDABLE AA TICKET FOR ACCESS?

No. It's honestly not a good idea, as this practice is specifically prohibited by American Airlines' Conditions of Carriage (Link):

American specifically prohibits practices commonly known as:

...Fraudulent, fictitious and abusive bookings: Fraudulent, fictitious and/or abusive bookings are prohibited. These types of bookings are defined as ... or to gain access to airport facilities....

"* Here are the rules…I work at the Club

1. Only the primary card holder is a member. Note the word member... The member (or now, authorized user, flying AA, AS or oneworld the same day) is allowed to bring in 2 guests OR immediate family which cannot exceed 2 people over 18 and all children under 18. For example John cannot bring in his wife, his 2 daughters and their husbands. He can bring in 2. If his daughters are under 18 they do not count toward the guest count of 2...

2. Our computers tell us if one is an authorized user. (Your AAdvantage number and if you are a cardholder in good standing - jd.)".

AA will announce a new reduced mileage award for those flights on April 1. None of the current ones will work until then.
Correct. Here's the disclaimer language that appears on the reduced-mileage-awards webpage:

"Reduced mileage award travel is not available with the short haul award (Contiguous 48 United States & Canada (? 500 miles)) March 22-31, 2016. New reduced mileage award levels will be introduced for these shorter flights on April 1st."

Looking for help with a recent debacle.

Used a one-day pass at LAX AC since I was going to be at the airport for the better part of the day. Handed it to the dragon without event, was not given anything in return, and was sent on my way.

Left the AC about three hours after arriving to go to the gate for a flight I was standing by on. The flight was full and I could not be accommodated, so I went back to the AC.

When I tried to re-enter, I was told that I could not enter because I wasn't a member/didn't have same-day international travel. I tried to explain that I was on a one-day pass, but I was looked at like I was trying to pull a fast one on them. I pressed for a few minutes, but I eventually gave up and went back into the terminal.

Should I have been given a receipt for my one-day pass? It seems like that would make sense, especially since some pass users utilize ACs at multiple airports on their itinerary. Is it worth asking for compensation?

I would have thought that you should have been given the pass back and should have asked for it if it was not returned. You are allowed to use any available club for one full day and I don't see how you could do that otherwise as there is nothing on your BP. You could certainly ask for compensation, such as another one day pass, and you might get it.

Was it a purchased pass or a coupon? The FAQ below apply to purchased passes.

From the Admirals Club One-Day Pass Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Do I receive a receipt for my One-Day Pass purchase?
A: Online - A confirmation email is sent to the purchaser containing an attachment, that includes both the purchaser receipt and the printable One-Day Pass(es) for each visitor - one pass per page.

Self-Service machine - A sales receipt for the entire purchase is printed at the kiosk. In addition, a separate One-Day Pass is printed at the kiosk for each visitor.

Q: Will every visitor receive the printable One-Day Pass?
A: If the email address for a visitor is provided, the visitor will receive a printable One-Day Pass. If the visitor email address is not provided, the purchaser will receive the printable One-Day Pass. In addition, if the purchaser is identified to be an exact match to someone noted as the visitor, he/she will receive only 1 email: the confirmation email with their One-Day Pass(es) attached in a PDF format.

I figured something to that effect. I'm going to write AA CS already expecting that they won't compensate me because AA should figure out a better way to handle this.

From the Admirals Club One-Day Pass Frequently Asked Questions:
It was a coupon redeemed through BusinessExtrAA.

Where you the person to whom it was issued?

From Business Extra® Program Terms And Conditions:

From Business Extra® Program Terms And Conditions:
Yes, it was issued to me. However, there was nothing on the pass to link it to me (unless the serial number is linked to my name). The name part was left blank. I guess it didn't translate into the system for one reason or another. How odd...

Thanks for your help, TWA884

I'll be in LHR T3 doing NCE-LHR-RDU which I think connects in T3 with a three hour layover. My domestic partner will be with me. Seems like it's the same price to do two day passes or one 90 day pass. Does the 90 day pass allow a guest as I think it does? Is the AA lounge airside? Does the 90 day pass get you into anything other than the Admirals Club? It is worth buying a pass or are you better off spending it on a nice meal in the terminal?

I'd recommend reading the wikipost (at the top of the page) in a thread whenever there is one.

A one day pass allows access for one day to one person (no guests) for $50.

There is no ninety day pass; there is a ninety day membership for $99, and it comes with every privilege an annual membership includes - including guests, whether you're flying or not, at many airports.

For more information about a Club see the WELCOME sticky with Lounge Dashboard. For example, the LHR T-3 Club is described and discussed here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/ameri...er-thread.html

It's a thirty day membership actually, but still potentially a good buy if there is more than one person.

Today was the first time I have been notified by AA that I got the 10,000 EQM for spend on this card. I learned from the last 2 years to proactively look for it. They finally got around to actually acknowledging it today. Very slow but sure progress. Too bad I need to fly other carriers now on international travel because they do not have competitive pricing. Good thing we are LTP.

New language is now up for the short-haul awards of 500 miles or less. Save 2k miles rountrip with the higher fee cards, 1k miles on the Citi Gold/Aviator Blue cards.

Looks like they added in some western airports too for the new reduced mileage chart. Was looking at Burbank availability in coach for May and could not find any. The system automatically searches for nearby airports as well and kept sending me to LAX or SNA instead.
