Unfortunately, the OP is not entitled a guest. See link above. Flagship First passengers get 1 guest allowance only when flying on international itineraries.

According to the Flagship® Lounge terms and conditions (Updated September 14, 2021):

  • A Flagship® First dining pass provides access to the holder and his or her immediate family (spouse, domestic partner and/or children under 18) or up to two guests. The pass is non-transferrable and can’t be combined with another offer.

This is honestly really confusing. I am a BA Silver (OW Sapphire) traveling in transcontinental F (LAX-BOS, sold as 3-class Flagship F). My wife has no status and is flying on a different AA route. We are departing LAX together - our flights are around the same time. She can obviously join me in the FL, but does she have access to FFD with me? The quoted link would suggest yes:

"A Flagship® First dining pass provides access to the holder and his or her immediate family (spouse, domestic partner and/or children under 18) or up to two guests. The pass is non-transferrable and can’t be combined with another offer."

But this page suggests no: https://www.aa.com/i18n/travel-info/...rst-dining.jsp

Platinum member here, I am flying MIA-LAX in Flagship First. Only issue is I am not 21 so I would be unable to enter the Flagship Lounge on my own. I would be able to bring in a guest due to my status it looks like. So hypothetically I could find someone of age and then say he is my guest and I would be let in. Right? Please let me know if anyone has experience with it. Definitely want to take advantage of FFD and the lounge, would be quite unfortunate to miss out on it. Also if anyone would like to volunteer themselves and is in MIA 10/16 in the afternoon please let me know. Thanks!

I’m pretty sure that on a purely domestic itinerary, even if flying in premium transcontinental F, no FFL/FFD guest access is permitted, unless status was earned on a OW carrier other than AA.

Correct:

"Guest access

Qualifying international First
1 guest (children over 2 count as a guest)

All other qualifying customers
No guests"

In my interpretation AA uses the world "Pass" when they sell paid access. Example: Admirals Club Day Pass for $59 or Flagship Lounge Single Visit Pass for $150.
I haven't heard any paid access to Flagship First Dining but it's really confusing that they use the term "Pass" in the T&C's.

I'm pretty sure the pass is just the paper saying you have access to FFD.

I'm happy to be proven wrong but here is a photo of a Flagship Lounge invitation where clearly they use the term "invitation".

That was what I was talking about

Yes, I understood that.
But the "pass" term is not used on that piece of paper.

AA.com is pretty clear that you get one guest for FFD if you're in int'l F but no guests for transcon F.

Guest access

Flagship® First – International

1 guest (children over 2 count as a guest)

Flagship® First – Transcontinental

No guests
I have no idea what exactly AA is referring to with the FFD "pass" thing that's buried in the T&C's but I can assure you that is not the normal access process. Just above that they also mention that certain customers can also access FFD for a fee who aren't flying AA or oneworld, this most likely is the "pass", but is obviously not something that's public.

I actually don't think you will get access to the FL, or even the AC at JFK, since your connection is to a non-OW carrier, but then again the B6 partnership might get you into the AC (it's confusing on many levels). But enjoy the NRT JL F Lounge. A little beef curry, sushi, sake/Japanese whiskey/XO cognac/champagne. Can't go wrong there..

I see, I see ... certainly seems like there are no guarantees (in terms of lounge access) with this fairly unique situation. Either way, I'll probably just give it a shot (FL/AC) and will be able to report back here in a week or so. If I'm not granted lounge access, is it possible to purchase access (an AA lounge, or is there another lounge with a shower at T5)?

Hoping someone out there might have other thoughts, input or experience with connecting to B6 upon arrival from international OW F flight, and receiving (or being denied) FL access ...

I wear joggers and a hoodie often for traveling , so comfortable! But I was just going to say dress up as absolutely sharp as you can and I think if you play it right/get the right person you can get in. It’s not like your age pops up. Be perfect if you knew or someone here knew one of the agents and could hook you up low key to just go to them to let you in.

i seem to not be able to find your original post despite scrolling up twice.

if you are arriving Int’l J/F on AA wouldn’t you just show them that BP and get in. OW requires onward OW BP but doesn’t AA have those special rules that allow FL/FFD but don’t specify about any onward flight? Or maybe that’s just for Transcon.

Also you can just buy a $49 one way to PHX and then have your onward OW ticket and go use the FL for the shower. I know people who have done that @ LAX to get a shower after 16 hours in the air and a long drive In traffic home ahead of them. Don’t use your FF number and they won’t catch you have the AS flight also

Strange, as I do still see the post on my end... anyway, my itinerary is actually NRT-JFK-MSY, with the NRT-JFK being in F on JAL (not AA, if that makes a difference). The JFK-MSY is on B6, but marketed by AA (flight 9227) which may help my cause, based on some chatter in the "Can you access the AC when flying Jetblue" thread. Will have to find out for myself!

Maybe I didn’t scroll up enough !

So 2 issues really. Can you get from T5 to T8 airside. I mean you can but will they let you with out a flight in T8? They did just begin the airside T5-T8 bus though. If you did make it to T8 would AA accept a B6 flight as onward OW..

I am truly not sure if the incoming matters JL vs AA , I just thought someone on here a while back said you can access FL upon arrival even if the onward is on United?

Different but same idea I think- flying United from LAX to SFO you can use FL if ur SF flight is international F.

Your biggest issue is getting to T8. Bummer they aren’t all connected like @ LAX. Maybe the new shuttle will help. Worth a try if you have time. Don’t expect a hot shower though !

Ok I have gotten many DMs asking if I got in, how and all that, so I will detail it in this post.

I decided to go in solo after asking a couple people and them having not a clue what I was talking about. Went in, they said I was too young but told me to wait a minute. The check in agent said they are not allowed to deny people with FFD access. So, after waiting a couple of minutes, I got a personal escort to the Flagship First Dining room. Food there was very good, especially for an airport. Hard to believe that it is being provided by American of all airlines. After that, I was escorted out and into the Admirals Club. They told me to let them know if I needed anything from the Flagship Lounge, and they would escort me back in. I went to the lounge chairs in the AC and did some people watching (especially entertaining in MIA, highly recommended activity) for like a hour. After that I figured I would go check out the buffet in the Flagship Lounge, so I got another personal escort into the lounge. This time, one of the agents at the desk in that lounge said I could stay in the Flagship Lounge, just in one of the front sections(where they could see me so I could not take advantage of the wine table and open bar). The buffet was also quite impressive. Quite honestly I enjoyed the personal escorts. All around the staff that were working were absolutely incredible! Wish I had a bit longer of a layover so I could have used one of the shower rooms. I was quite surprised that they did let me in. But luckily it all worked out! Also am 7/8 on getting into Admirals Clubs on this trip. Was only denied by DFW C terminal.
