Looking at posts a bit up in the thread, it looks like I will have access but just want to make sure. I'm flying in on AA340 from LAX (11:59pm departure 7:39am arrival next day) in Flagship Biz. As this will be my second transcon in a span of 12 hours, I would greatly appreciate a shower. My age may be another challenge but they let me in last time so I should be good. I'm just a bit concerned because it technical’s is not a same day ticket so I'm not sure it would entitle me access, but posts on this thread lead me to believe it is allowed.

As you probably know, I tried to access MIA FL lounge and FFD. I will be putting JFK to the test on 11/13, and MIA (just lounge not FFD) to the test on 11/14. Same invitation as last time, but I do not need to strategize getting in anymore. Will keep this thread posted on my experiences.

Just tried to enter MIA, they showed me an email from corporate (about a week after I went in the first time) saying that they are no longer able to let anyone under 21 in without someone over 21. They said they could not even escort me in like they did last time. Oh well.

I'm flying CMN-JFK-CLT with the first segment in J on Royal Air Maroc and the 2nd segment in MCE on AA. The Flagship webpage doesn't include Africa as a qualifying international destination. Is that just an oversight or should I not expect to be able to get into the Flagship Lounge? Thanks.

Absolute hogwash.
I will wait a few months to have Flagship Lounge access in Mia. Despite the email they showed me, JFK let me in 12 hours earlier with no issue. So I guess the email was just to MIA. IMO, if the Flagship Lounge manager was not the one at the desk I would have gotten in. None of the others had any clue about it. At least everyone was very professional and nice about it. |
i'm trying to get my head around something. let's pretend the ORD Flagship Lounge is open (as i hope it will be when i actually take these flights). if i fly HND-ORD in JAL first class (on an AS award ticket) and then have a separate, paid ORD-MCO flight in AA first class about five hours later, would i have access to the ORD Flagship Lounge (or Admirals Club for that matter) as a oneworld first class arrivals passenger? thanks.

I've done this a multitude of times arriving in AY J and continuing on a separate domestic Y ticket, never an issue.

Sorry for the very novice question but I'm a UA-captive flyer and infrequently on AA for at least a few years now. In January I have a LAX > MIA "flagship first class" ticket (A fare class). I have zero status with AA. Do I have access to the lounge in MIA after landing? From reading the wiki I would guess no. A simple yes or no would be much appreciated.

You have access to the AC on departure (FL if open, FFD if open) and FL and FFD on arrival. |
