I thought you had access to QF too

If you are OW Emerald, yes. The poster was a Sapphire, which would limit them to the QF J lounge and not QF First.

Personally would say "with the same bad food" but to each his own. FFD certainly wasnt about the food for me. But such a nice spot to relax and have some privacy and LPGS (when they managed not to bothch the ordering of it).

I'm with you here.

I've always enjoyed JFK's FFD and find it more comfortable than the common area. The tables are large enough where one could easily setup a laptop & iPad, have some food, and do some work in between pourings of LPGS. The food while perfectly adequate wasn't on par with world class restaurants, but I can't imagine any airport lounge or restaurant would meet those lofty standards. Though, I've heard great things about ATL's One Flew South, but I rarely fly south--I only fly east & west--but, it's on my to-do list.

As they say, all good things must come to an end, and I've had my share of fond memories of both the 321T & the FFD experience over the years. I'm going to miss them, assuming it's all going to be "reimagined."

Hello FT,

Flying MIA - LAX - JFK - ORD - GRR. Space looks very good for upgrades across all sectors (albeit EF seat maps for that determination...yes I know). If I get the upgrades, the LAX - JFK leg arrives at 7:29am day after the trip begins. Upon arrival in ORD around 11:30 am the same day as arrival from LAX, would I be able to access the FL given my earlier Flagship flight? I think yes, but not sure due to the timing of arrival into JFK.

Thanks for any info!

Should have no problem by virtue of your same day LAX-JFK, however every now and then we see a bad apple agent who will refuse access in a case like this. Best to just hand them your LAX-JFK boarding pass and let them scan it in.

You should be able to get into MIA also if you have the upgrade cleared for LAX-JFK. Your are flying to connect to a same day Flagship qualifying route. And then yes on ORD also as even though the qualifying flight was the "day before" it was the red eye and landed the next morning so you're good too.

Hi all, I'm planning a honeymoon trip to Hawaii for late 2023 and can't really find the right answer for my situation. I'm planning on booking on the A321T from BOS-LAX (and back) on either Flagship Business or First, but probably leaning business to be able to sit together, especially as Flagship First Dining doesn't seem to have come back for LAX. I'm taking Hawaiian Airlines First Class to Hawaii from LAX that leaves from Terminal B and I don't believe has any agreement with AA to transfer bags. I do see that AA allows access to Flagship Lounges on departure or arrival, which would be perfect as I'd probably have 4-5 hours to kill at LAX before jetting off again.

My question is that if I check bags, would I need to go to baggage claim, go to Terminal B, check them in with Hawaiian, go through security again, then take the airside connector back to T4 to access the AA Flagship Lounge? Any way to have bags checked all the way through or to remain airside? Language seems to indicate that as long as my arrival ticket is the same day, I should be granted access, but will they allow me to enter given that maybe an hour will have passed since landing if I do need to do all the steps I listed before?

Of course, taking a couple of carry-ons would help, but just wondering what my options are here.

Assuming that the 2 flights are separate tickets? If so, then yes you will have to claim your bags at t4 and then take them to the Hawaiian check in and drop them off there. If it is a single ticket, then your bags would be checked all the way through.

Once you get back through security then you should be able to come back to terminal 4 and access the flagship lounge by virtue of your arrival on the 321T in J.

Are you purchasing the flights separately? If it's all one ticket, AA will check your bags all the way through and hand you all your BPs in BOS. If you are on separate tickets, AA will not do it and you will have to collect your bags and check in with HA. You should be able to access the FL in LAX on arrival, even an hour later as long as you can get there. I don't know enough about LAX to say how easy it will be to get back to T4.

Yes - sorry for not mentioning that these will be two separate tickets, booked on the AA website and Hawaiian Airlines websites using their own miles. Is there a way to book on a single ticket AA and Hawaiian - I didn't see any alliance or collaboration information between these two airlines. EDIT: nevermind - I see it now, but I am still booking separately anyway since I saw some saver level award on Hawaiian Air and I can't find an AA booking with any flights from LAX-HNL on Hawaiian Air

Thanks for the info on accessing the lounge though - from what I've researched, it shouldn't be too hard to get back into T4 from Terminal B, but would take a little bit of a walk and some annoyance with security all over again.

FYI, HA uses the TBIT west gates which is an additional 15/20 minute walk from TBIT main terminal.

Yep, did see that in my research and will account for that when leaving the lounge, but I believe the check-in for HA still takes place near the main terminal so the walk back to T4 shouldn't be too bad to get back to the lounge. Thanks!

Flying MIA-GUA in business, do I have access to FL on a short international flight?

Also flying flagship business LHR-DFW-FLL, will I have access to FL on my connection at DFW?

Business class to GUA doesn't come with FL access, just the Admirals Club. But no problem to use the FL at DFW during your connection on that trip.

I am flying ATH-JFK, but then have a connecting flight out of LGA the following day (same PNR). Will I be able to access lounge at JFK on arrival?

No, without a boarding pass from JFK you won't be allowed back through security to access the FL.
