If anybody is curious, I'm pretty sure the new 77W route will be LAX-HKG.

AA uses 3rd party staff at HKG/SkyPier/in town check in.. had a couple of issues before at HKG and SkyPier and they were of no help..

How is this any different than DFW-HKG? And by the way, it wasn't Doug Parker who signed off on the 3-4-3 Y configuration. It was Tom Horton. So maybe Parker should give up his Y seat on the flight to him instead.

Ten abreast is the new norm on the 777. Almost all recent deliveries are now ten abreast in Y. UA will soon be going ten wide on their 77Ws and retrofit their 77As to have ten abreast. It was also Doug Parker who signed off on W in a pretty spacious 2-4-2 arrangement of three rows on the 77W. While MCE will undoubtedly go ten abreast, having five inches of extra legroom is sufficient to make ten abreast on a 777 tolerable.

Wow, AA/LAX will have quite the lineup up Pacific destinations (well, any destination really with all of the domestic adds too) very soon. Wish that had been the case when I lived in LA!
