Upgraded yesterday at T100+ ABQ/LAX 2/23. No e-mail though, which hasn't been the norm for me. Still waiting on LAX/ORD redeye 2/23. 9 open on the seat map and EF is F7/C0. May confirm with a BusinessExtra upgrade when C goes to 1 as while economy seems light, MCE and exit rows are packed solid so I could be a bit down the list.

Why would you expect an upgrade ahead of time on a Monday afternoon (particularly a holiday Monday afternoon)? That's literally the definition of prime business travel.

Flight cleared today at T-100hrs PHX-BUR, but the FC Cabin was literally 100% EMPTY. checked on the app. I didn't get an email yet. |

A new one for me... DCA-JFK last night 2 passengers (both Plat) were upgraded exactly at the window (T-48) with an e-mail sent. F ended up leaving with 13/16.
Regardless, I think the last time I cleared at the window (even on flights where F went out about half full) was YEARS ago. |
Flew CLT-LAX-HKG-DFW-CLT last week. SWU's applied both directions.
Cleared comp, domestic upgrades on: - CLT-LAX: 55 hrs prior, with email - DFW-CLT: 60 hrs prior, with email Also cleared SWU's both ways, FWIW - but well after the comp upgrade segments cleared (LAX-HKG 36 hrs prior; HKG-DFW 22 hrs prior). |

Going to miss EP when I fall back to LT PLT in a couple weeks but when you now have kids, travel has to take a back seat. |
I'm an ExPlat and traveling with a companion from LAX-SFO this weekend. Outbound cleared this morning (T-59) for both of us, and I received an email. Hoping the return clears as well :)

App and website said I was added to upgrade list on my flight today for lax to sfo. But when list showed we weren't there. By the time AA added us they had already upgraded others. Short flight but not the first time AA had messed up and we missed out.

Another data point for JFK - LAX: EXP, Wed 8 PM departure, seat map 2/3 empty for MCE. Complimentary upgrade (Coach to Business) cleared at T-48.
SWU was also applied at booking, but seems it was processed as a complimentary upgrade. |
As a few others along with me have reported, it appears comp upgrades clear before SWU upgrades.
All things considered - this is probably a good thing for higher tier elites as we will clear via comp upgrade before those waitlisted with miles+copay (including individuals with no elite status). |
