ONE DAY PASS

American Airlines also sells a One Day Pass for $59, usable by one person (non-transferable and non-refundable) good for any Clubs* the individual may have access to during their travel day (and if traveling overnight the first Club in the point of arrival the following day if the member can access a inside or Club location).

NOTE: The sale of One Day Passes is generally suspended at Admirals Clubs under active refurbishment.

One day pass links no longer work; one day passes may no longer be purchased on line. Purchase one day passes at airport Clubs not under refurbishment.

Notes: *Please note Admirals Club lounges in Canada, Europe, Asia, Central and South America located beyond passport control may not be accessible due to airport imposed restrictions. These include: BOG, CCS, CDG, GIG, GRU, LHR, MEX, NRT, SCL, YYZ.

● Admirals Club has reciprocity agreements for access under specified conditions to Alaska Airlines Board Room, Qantas Club, and some individual lounges (e.g. DUB, DUS, FRA, MXP, ZRH etc. Please use the Lounge Dashboard "sticky" thread to easily find the threads discussing these other airline lounge access requirements and to the master threads pertaining to specific lounges. (These do not apply to One Dap Pass holders.)

● Note: Members are able to contact Admirals Club Member Services (see below) 24 hours in advance even when not flying and request gate passes for themselves and others meeting at an Admirals Club for business purposes:

[quote]VISITING THE Admirals Club WHEN NOT FLYING

Members not flying can access Clubs when they have airside access and the airport doesnt restrict lounge access to departing passengers.

Members can not secure a gate pass from a ticket agent.

Members can not secure a gate pass with merely "declared business purpose" for themselves and others any longer (14 Sep 2016).

Members and non-members can schedule and attend business meetings in the Admirals Club or Executive Center without traveling if they have rented a conference room in a Club with such and are registered on the daily meeting list. See below.

This requires arrangements at least 24 hours in advance.

FAQ link including a Club access.

Q. I am a member and would like to meet someone at the airport, but I'm not flying today. Can I get through Security to get to the Admirals Club lounge?

A: No. Only those registered in advance and attending a conference in a rented conference room may have access. Casual access / walking up to the ticket counter to request a gate pass is not permitted; please do not put employees in an uncomfortable position by asking.

To do so you must :
  • Present a valid government I.D.
  • Have your name on the daily meeting list
To add names of those attending an event in a rented conference room to the daily meeting list, call at least 24 hours in advance:
  • Admirals Club number/AAdvantage number
  • Legal name as it appears on government issued identification for each individual
  • Birth dates, including year, for each individual (maximum of two guests allowed for non-conference room meeting)*
  • Location, date and time of non-conference room meeting
We will arrange for Security clearance with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to allow you to get to the lounge. This opportunity is available for Admirals Club members only (and their authorized guests), and you will be required to show your Admirals Club membership card, along with a government-issued photo ID.

*(Times corrected to current service center hours)

Q. CAN I PUR HASE A FULLY REFUNDABLE AA TICKET FOR ACCESS?

It's honestly not a good idea, as this practice is specifically prohibited by American Airlines' Conditions of Carriage (Link):

American specifically prohibits practices commonly known as:

...Fraudulent, fictitious and abusive bookings: Fraudulent, fictitious and/or abusive bookings are prohibited. These types of bookings are defined as ... or to gain access to airport facilities....

Executive Card - additional information: As one Club employee posted on millionmilesecrets:

"* Here are the rulesI work at the Club

1. Only the primary card holder is a member. Note the word member... The member is allowed to bring in 2 guests Or immediate family which cannot exceed 2 people over 18 and all children under 18. For example John cannot bring in his wife, his 2 daughters and their husbands. He can bring in 2. If his daughters are under 18 they do not count toward the guest count of 2...

NOTE: Please read this wiki thoroughly to see the recent changes allowing access to authorized users / secondary or ancillary card holders.

2. Our computers tell us if one is an authorized user. (Your AAdvantage number and if you are a cardholder in good standing - jd.)

3. Choice of airline doesnt matter (as long as you have airside access). You can fly anyone and access the Club. We might not be able to help you with your ticketing but you can come in to charge your phone or computer or even use ours, all the while enjoying a complimentary glass of wine or well drink".

Ah!

Strange it may be, but as a cardholder I do know it's spend by December statement.

Qualifying Miles Link

The primary cardmember will earn 10,000 Elite Qualifying Miles (EQMs) after spending $40,000 in purchases that post to cardmember's January through December billing statements. A primary cardmember may earn the 10,000 EQMs only once each year, even if the cardmember has more than one Citi Executive account. EQMs earned are in addition to the AAdvantage miles earned for purchases made on the credit card. Purchases exclude returned goods and services, cash advances, convenience checks, transferred balances, credits, fees and interest charges. Purchases made through additional cards on the primary cardmember's account (authorized users) will count toward the primary cardmember's qualifying spend. EQMs earned as a result of this offer will be typically posted to the primary cardmember's AAdvantage account 6-8 weeks after meeting the $40,000 spend requirement. EQMs only count toward elite status qualification for the AAdvantage program. EQMs earned through this offer will not count toward Million MilerSM status. EQMs cannot be redeemed for award travel, AAdvantage miles or any other AAdvantage program awards. AAdvantage program elite status requirements and balance are available on the AAdvantage section of aa.com.

It is enforced sporadically. I was asked for ID almost every time I used the club this year up until December. This month I used the club about 6 times and was only asked for ID once.

I'm never asked. If I were I'd merely tell them my photo ID is in the record..

I've never been asked, at least since they started taking the BP.

When I initially got the card (10/2011) before things were fully integrated (and there were questions about whether this was a "real membership), they asked to see (and swipe) the card itself a few times; that's been fixed for quite a long while now, and have only needed to do that a handful of times since (once flying out on VX where I had no AA boarding card, and a few times where it was easier than showing a mobile BP or digging out an incoming BP when I was grabbing a drink on arrival at SFO.

I don't think they have a photo ID on file for me although I can't remember for sure whether they ever asked for it in the first few months of having the card in the fall of 2011... they may have asked for a photo ID and the card at one point, but either way it's 4+ years ago at this point.

; I don't know what's different between our PNRs that you might be (and I don't fly often enough that anyone seems to recognize me.)

Yes, so long as you are the primary cardholder. You need to show a boarding pass for Alaska or American, though (at least at LAX T6).

Yes, but not really . You can access the Alaska Board Room as an Admirals Club member under the conditions discussed here:

My SO, who has an authorized user exec card (I am the primary) was let in to the SEA main Board Room yesterday after showing his card and giving my AA number. May very well have been a happy accident that they let them in though.

Guests as authorized user

I just went into two clubs today as an authorized user on the executive card and I was able to bring in guests. There has been some info saying you could bring in guests and other that you couldn't.

K, just a datapoint. As I mentioned upthread (or in a different thread) I managed to lose my Citi WE card while on vacation and a replacement did not show up in time.

My AAdvantage member card mag strip had all the info to 1) let me into the Admirals club at LAX and 2) into the Alaska Board Room at LAX T-6. No problems at all.

Showed BP, card and ID to be safe. Family of four granted access.

Having learnt from this thread about the new Citi card offer and my membership is about to expire, I went ahead applying for a new card with myself being the primary card holder and my wife the additional holder. The cards arrive today but only one card (mine) has the Admirals club logo at the back, my wife's does not have one.

Have I applied for the wrong card, or the literature on the AA Website being out-of-date?

2. Admirals Club Membership
Only primary Citi / AAdvantage Executive World EliteTM MasterCard cardmembers who are eighteen (18) years of age or older may receive membership privileges to American Airlines Admirals Club lounges. Authorized users of the Citi / AAdvantage Executive World EliteTM MasterCard credit card are not entitled to Admirals Club membership privileges.

To access an Admirals Club lounge, the primary cardmember must present: (i) his or her (a) AAdvantage number, or (b) active and valid Citi / AAdvantage Executive World EliteTM MasterCard; (ii) his or her current government-issued I.D.; and (iii) any additional required documentation. Either immediate family members (spouse or domestic partner and children under eighteen (18) years of age) or up to two (2) guests traveling with the primary cardmember may be admitted for free as guests when accompanied by the primary cardmember. All persons must be of valid drinking age, based on applicable law, to consume alcohol...
BTW, it's a Citi / AAdvantage Executive World Elite MasterCard if that would make a difference.

For some reason, some have the logo, others don't. I'm primary and my card doesn't have an Admirals Club logo either.

Thank you @ILuvParis - I do too ;-) ! That's a useful data point in that there's a room for some inconsistencies.... According to several posters then additional card holders seem to have access to the lounge as well as be able to bring in (2) guests.... I really hope that the case, but I really want to have something concrete to refer to instead of presenting argumentative points with a lounge's rep.
Are there any pointers to the updated T&C's that anyone care to post?
