Seems like a usual case of the interwebs getting a little cluttered with all the 1's an 0's. I bet the the AA reservation system occasionally gets hung up when equip is changed out, especially when it goes from a narrow-body to a wide body. Probably has an issue processing the new seat numbers with respect to the addition of some and subtraction of others (like you had mentioned, OP).

I don't understand why it's so difficult for airlines to make HELPFUL mobile apps. I've had many problems with the AA app.

Yesterday my app boarding pass wouldn't validate at the TSA scanner. Had to go to checkin to get a paper boarding pass. Anyone had similar problems?

iPhone APP - Update
Pretty impressed with the substantially redesigned AA iPhone app they just released earlier today. Looks like they took some queues from the iOS7 update to improve quite a bit on their look/feel and usability.

I looks very similar to the version already released on the iPAD back in iOS6.

I am quite surprised that they dropped compatibility for iOS 6 so quickly.
Fortunately, Apple now allows those without iOS 7 to download older versions of apps. But with backend changes that might occur in the AA app, like APIs, who knows how much longer those on iOS 6 will be able to use the AA app. |

downloaded ios7 and the new AA app yesterday. Looks decent (though took me a while to find my flight details.
Question to those who have used it: What is the green dot next to my flight times? Has that been around for a while? I don't remember it before -AJ |
