I got this too. The segments show correct on the full website.

The current AA iPhone app does display the stand-by list, provided you are on the list. It does not display the UG list.

I guess I am just missing it somewhere. Where does it show the stand-by list?

rayhurst Jan 29, 2012 7:53 pm

It's been a while, but I think once you are added to the standby list, there will be a colored (green if I remember) bar at the bottom of the screen that will take you to the list. You might have to be on the flight status page. This is of course the standby list and not the upgrade list.

I'd also like the Iphone app to show the status of one's inbound flight.

That would be nice, but I don't expect to ever see it.

(In the old days, I could call my local Admiral's Club and ask the agent.)

^ correct! It's on the "My Flights" tab where you would check in and see your boarding pass.

It's already available on the full website Flight Status, but not on the mobile site or iPhone app. Hopefully they will get it ported over sooner rather than later.

iPhone/pad apps

Lately I have not been able to access my bookings via the iPhone/iPad app. "my flights" just don't show up nor can I find then via the search option with the record locator. Any one else experiencing this?

Yes, on occasion - more of an annoyance than anything as the info is typically available again within some minutes/hours. More often than not, tho, the app works for me as it's supposed to.

Already a thread discussing this topic

(Search term (oddly enough) {"iphone"})

Cheers.

I've notice that when I have pulled up reservations on the Iphone app on two occassions there have been duplicate reservations showing (with different PNRs). However, if I then pull up my reservations on a desktop or laptop the incorrect duplicate reservations are not showing.

Example, last night the Iphone app showed me with two duplicate reservations for a 3/29 JFK/SFO trip but when I went home and pulled it up on my laptop just the correct (one) reservation showed. I also tried to pull up the two incorrect reservations on my Iphone but got an error message to call AA.

Anyone else seeing this?

I have something similar.

I've had an Award reservation to come back from FCO-DFW since 8/29/11. I wanted to investigate the possiblility of extending my trip by a few days. There were no flight back from FCO on the dates I wanted. So I started playing around with things to see if I could route through MAD. I got as far as Madrid to Miami, considered the possiblity of burning a WN RR 1.0 reward to get back to Dallas and got as far as the seat selection on the AA site. (I wanted to see if I would be cramped in Y) I didn't call the AAdvanatage desk to change anything and obviously I couldn't do it myself online. When I came to my senses, I realized that 3 plane changes and an airport change wasn't worth the 3 extra days I was looking at. So I closed everything out.

However, in my reservations on the App, I'm showing a flight from MAD-MIA with a record locator. If I click on it, it says that they are unable to retrieve my itinerary and directs me to call the AAdvantage desk. If I look at my account online, that flight and reservation number are nowhere to be found.

Can't seem to get rid of the phantom reservation. I've had this happen before and it seems to go away on its own once the alleged flight date has passed. Still, it's annoying to have it listed amoung my true flights.

My fear was more of having reservations canceled because of duplicates but this does not seem to impact. But the weird thing is that I had two additional same day duplicate reservations all with different PNRs showing. And I never use my Iphone to book flights.

This is the same issue that I think was discussed upthread. If you are logged into AA.com and you price an itinerary up to a point (I think seat selection, maybe before that), but don't actually purchase the ticket, the iPhone app will show that flight on the My Flights tab with its own PNR. This seems to have started with the last update several months ago. I haven't found a way to delete the entry.

Log into AA.com and navigate to "my reservations" from the menus. The bogus reservation will likely show there as "cancelled" with a "remove" link nearby. Clicking "remove" has deleted the nuisance PNR for me in the past never to be seen again on my iPhone or AA.com.

Anyone having problems going to the AA.com site via the app? For example if I try to change my seats via the app the page just shows the loading circle and never loads. Tried it on different networks (wifi, Bluetooth), turning phone off and on etc but to no avail.
