In your post, KVS is querying the QF public website for availability. Generally speaking, the website is responding that seats on the QF flight number are available to all QF partners. QF has numerous partners, just like AA does. The catch is that each partner decides how its miles may be used. AA does not allow AA miles to be used to book codeshares. But that doesn't necessarily mean, for example, that BA prohibits codeshares from being booked. (I don't actually know what BA's policy is.)

Why does the QF codeshare 322 also show availability when there is none?
As Austinrunner had mentioned above, Awards can only booked using 'real' (i.e. non-codeshared) flight numbers.

However, some FF programmes allow codeshare redemptions on their own codeshare flights for their own FFP members, as an exception to this rule. For example, QF FF members can redeem on QF/LA codeshares (as you have discovered), CO OP members can redeem on CO/VS codeshares.

If you are redeeming AADV miles, it has no significance. You can either ignore (or Filter-out) those codeshares or use the [Awards/BA-OneWorld] Method, which will not list them:

I have the beta installed. Looks like it is showing full class availability. Correct me if I am wrong but I am looking for O for first class, I for business and N for coach?

L means WaitList. However, since AADV will not Waitlist award seats, it should be treated the same as "0".

Can't find flight on KVS?

I was able to find my flight and seat map for Dec 24 flight #312 from SFO-DFW but now it doesn't show up on KVS. Does that mean the flight is completely full? Thanks.

Well, it shows on ExpertFlyer. F has seats open and Y is full except for one Premium seat and a bunch of blocked seats.

Phantom Availability on KVS for AA or OW blocking by AA?

I was looking at ORD-LIS in July

Amadeus OW search

ORD Chicago O'Hare Intl IL US [KORD] MAD Madrid Barajas ES [LEMD]
WED 18 Jul 2012 | 4 Seats
Carrier Flight From Depart To Arrive A/C St Availability
--------- ------ ---- -------- ---- -------- --- -- -------------
IB 6274 ORD 16:40 MAD 07:40 +1 FS- CS+ YS-

AA rep can not find it.
Is it because AA is now blocking IB and only steers you to BA for YQs?

Looks like a system connectivity issue on IB's end. Their own engine is currently reporting CS0 and the [Awards/BA-OneWorld] Engine is also showing no Award Availability on the ORD flight.

However, there are 4 CS Seats ex-JFK:

Admittedly a new KVS user here so please be kind (I have read this thread, done a search and think I've got the KVS basics ok, and have called AA a couple of times...)

Looking for award availability in J or F DFW to BKK and see availability (the DFW to NRT leg is below then the DFW-BKK route just below that. It looks to me that there is availability but it is not seen by the AA agent. I'm using the Amadeus: Awards/CX search, should I be using a different search method? Recommendations appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
