Preparing for disappointment again tomorrow with the Lincoln offer.
The disapointment will only be with those buying the car and getting 10000-35000 MORE than the previous offers for 25K and 50K

It doesn't matter to me. I got 5250 for not buying the Lincoln.

I'd have to place more credence in #31 (not wishful thinking either).

Five days in and not one single offer is of use and / or valid for AA members who reside outside the US.

Do AA not care about their loyal members other than the US ones?

Why did I get sent an email telling me what great news this was when I can not take any AAdvantage of any of these benefits?

But not for Hawaii (at least, not for rentals in Hawaii).

I said "Canadians" not "Canada"

This promo is open to Hawaiians as well (though last I checked, they were US citizens)

They're trying to entice you to visit the colonies and rent a car

Cheers.

I actually meant to put this in the main thread to show my displeasure at the whole 25th anniversay (for US residents only) promotion thread.

Somehow I ended up putting my post in here instead.

You know, thought of something that kept bugging me but I couldn't put my finger on it...

These promos always have to go through Legal, and they are always so careful to put out max mileage earning in the T&Cs... it seems unlikely that either Avis or AA (and more unlikely, both) would overlook that fact.

Which Number Triggers the Bonus Miles

I am confused about which number triggers you getting the bonus miles. The T &Cs mention you insert the AWD K817125. I did that on a reservation but used a different coupon number for a weekend free day. My rate came out OK-close to what my previous reservation was.

If you click on the 25th Anniversay Avis link, it inserts coupon MUAA067.

My question is whether to get the miles you need only the AWD K817125 or you also need the Coupon MUAA0067?

It's the MUAA0067 that gives you the points, the AWD K817125 gives you the 25% discount. If you want the points you have to use the coupon code MUAA0067, you can't use another coupon that will give you a free day and expect to get the points. Although, you don't have to use the AWD K817125 if you don't want the 25% discount. You could use the regular AA AWD.

The problem is, as noted earlier in this thread, that if you put in the AWD number (as required by the T&C), then select "lowest fare" on the second screen, the third screen (although noting that you entered the AWD and coupon number) says you received the "lowest fare" instead of the AWD fare.

We've been waiting (and hoping) for clarification on whether one has to actually use the AWD fare, or can technically comply with the T&C by just entering it then ignoring it through searching for the lowest fare.

Please, YourAAdvantageVoice, can you provide the clarification we've been seeking? (I'd send you a PM or an e-mail, but according to your profile, you don't accept either.)
