I'll be about 800 miles short of EXP after this weeks flight. Just need to find a cheap turn around now!

I'm at 98,500 with a SFO-PHL trip next week that will bring me up to 104,000, my last paid flight of the year.
I fall right in between you and Efrem (who has 100,055) for renewing my elite status (PL). In 2 weeks doing JFK-SFO. That is my last trip of the calendar year and will put me at 50,359.

After Dec 4 (with no further travel plans), I will have 100,757 miles for my third EXP qualification.

which leads me to wonder, I have consistently EXP qualified three years with less than 105k miles. I only did one mileage run to put myself over the first year. How common is that? Are most EXP's here say less than 110k?

I requalified for Gold in May, but most exciting I just qualified for Platinum for the first time coming back from SJD last week.

My new status posted today, I have already called and gotten my upcoming upgrade requests updated.

It was nice to get that double mile bonus on the trip back from Cabo.

Because I qualified on segments, I am still way far away from EXP. Might be something to try for next year.

After DFW-NRT-DFW 23/27 November (this week), I will have 100,169!! Man, wasted 169 miles...talk about some poor planning!

Since I have a ton of free time (NOT!), I'm trying to work out some itineraries to reach exactly 100,000 Q-miles, without a single wasted BIS mile.

Right now I expect to be at 92,591 after the cancellation of my VCE trip this week.

I have to go to SFO and FLL/MIA before the end of the year. However, if I did it all on AA, it would leave me short by 200 or so miles. If I added another trip, it would put me over.

Within reason, I'm not too worried about spending a few hundred dollars.

Any Sudoku experts want to take a crack at this?

After my DFW - PVD - ORD - DFW run last week, I'm at 104,652 QP. Will probably cross 115,000 before the year is out. First time as EXP. Trips to DEL next year should keep me at that status for some time.

That would be great!

I requalified for EXP on the outbound leg of a SAN-LHR trip in September, then did SAN-LAX-SYD-BNE-CNS-NRT-LAX-SAN in October, and SAN-YVR (short trip) in November. Looked like I might to to Athens in December (which would have given me the 50k bonus miles UK thing plus maybe the OW bonus thing), but it was decided today that I wouldn't be going.

Even though I requalified as EXP, I'm shooting for 2MM and have a ways to go yet:
Program to Date Miles: 1,349,571
YTD Elite Qualifying Points: 134,617
YTD Elite Qualifying Miles: 100,198
So the bonus miles would have been nice.

Finally!!!!!!!!!

Just turned EXP for the first time on an unexpected trip LAX-MIA-MAD!!!!Further travel from MAD-MIA-MEX brought me to 114,983 EQP for the year without the return MEX-LAX posting yet and two trips to go (one to NY and one to Miami) in December...

I must admit that i LOVED telling the GA in Madrid "I'm Executive Platinum" on the way home...they were not as happy as I was, but it was great to FINALLY have made it!!!

Welcome to FlyerTalk AA susanita3333 and to AA's cuddly bosom. I have to admit the first trip you're EXP is a bit of a head rush, I know!
