Actually, let me amend to say that the AUH announce date may be... never. Appears to be fading fast as an idea.

AUH makes sense if AA wanted to pursue an ATI with Etihad.

From what I read Parker and Joyce will be announcing 'something' from Wellington tomorrow at 12N NZ time.

Not sure if it is a new PDB policy or LAX-AKL.....

Honestly, I had zero confidence in the route working. However, I do not think a JV with EY can be completely ruled out due to Open Skies with UAE and AA's codesharing relationship with EY.
