That reminds me of the time I was on a BOS-LAX flight next to someone of similar, uh, um, uh, "proportions"; the FA came around to take dessert orders, she ordered the sundae and I was only about one drink shy of asking "Are you sure that's a good idea?" .

Gabourey Sidibe?
Anyone in the JFK Flagship Lounge around 10:45-11:15 AM today? Was that Gabourey Sidibe? Sure looked like her, and the man next to us (who was on the phone to someone) seemed to think so ("Guess who I was sitting next to until a few minutes ago? No, LARGER!")

Thom Beers at the LAX Admiral's Club a little over a week ago. Ended up talking to him for a while before I knew who he was. I can safely say he must use one heck of a mic for his narration or they do some, errr, enhancement. The Adam Savage glasses finally made me "light bulb".
He was actually really happy when I told him that I watch only a handful of TV programs but don't despise some of his shows.

Doing the last of my MRs for the year (LAX-ORD) for EXP status. Using the TSA Pre line on Friday, April 20 at LAX at 7am. Chris Cofer (Kurt on Glee) was with AA Concierge in from of me in Pre line and then at AC. He was escorted to Flagship lounge.

Maya Leibman was in seat 5B on AA2337 ORD -> DFW today. She was traveling with a colleague and I think there was another AA person in first too. (Okay - I know she's not a real celebrity but I think she's quite well known around here!).

RGIII
A little late in posting this one. Robert Griffin III (RGIII) sitting in 3E next to me from DFW to TPA on 4/18. Rumor was at that time that if Indy and Wash passed on him, he might slip to #5 in the draft which was the Bucs pick. We now know that didn't happen.
Very cool and unassuming professional and went generally unnoticed (probably the last time that happens!) except for the FA that kept talking to him and getting his autograph on the white napkin after lunch. If he lives up to the hype on the field, he's got the makings to be a very marketable superstar IMHO.

Lots of folks in the Admirals Club right now wearing sunglasses, can't place anyone. There is also an AA rep and two guys packing heat that are protecting a middle age guy, but I have no idea who they are.

Lou Ferrigno aka The Incredible Hulk
Lou Ferrigno aka The Incredible Hulk EWR-LAX last night flight 119 (4/29/12). Since F was full, he was in row 14 with me and alicesantamonica. But I was in C, he was in F, and she was in E next to him; he was glad she's petite.
Very pleasant, gracious, and approachable.

I tend to doubt that it was a run of the mill celebrity you saw; more likely a foreign diplomat or high ranking US official. I cannot imagine anyone's private security being allowed into the sterile area with firearms and I don't think you'd ever see plain-clothed LEO escorting someone unless they were on some kind of gov't business and had Secret Service/DSS/Marshals for protection. I've seen people in JFK (Van Halen) with PANYNJ cops as escorts through the terminal but I think that was for crowd control if needed.

Washington didn't give away the store to the Rams for the #2 pick to NOT pick up RG3.

Just about forgot to post this one. Apr 18th AA 528 SFO-ORD Ashley Judd with her two cockapoos. She sat in 6F, took me a while to recognize her.
