We saw Dallas Cowboys former head coach and current assistant Dave Campo at the DFW Terminal A AC this AM.

Not a very large man!

He was directly behind me in F on SFO-BOS in May and was also hanging out in the AC. The AAngels said he's through SFO quite often on AA.

Quite pleasant, signed a number of autographs, chatted with the cockpit crew for a bit.

Wow, I didn't know the Lakers have had three venues in LA. Great memories for you!

Back in the days before free agency, before the salaries of baseball players rose to their current astronomical, I remember the case of Dave Kingman, a slugger who played for the San Francisco Giants and later at the New York Mets. Kingman worked every off-season for UA at SFO and later the New York airports, as a TA and in the baggage office. He was once interviewed about it in the SF Chronicle, and he said that the travel benefits for his relatives was a major reason for choosing that particular off-season job (at least it beats the off-season job of Pirates player Richie Hebner, who worked at the cemetery where his father was the grounds manager - Hebner's job was to literally dig graves, which I suppose worked like a conditioning program of sorts.
Kingman was a mysogynistic pr%ck who belittled female reporters who braved the locker rooms in the 1970s, so the less said about him the better. There's a reason he's the only hitter with 400+ homers who's not in the Hall of Fame.

Mark McGwire and Darrell Evans both have more 400 home runs and are not in the Hall of Fame. I would imagine Kingman never made it as he usually led the league in outs and batted below .230. He also had 300 more strikeouts than hits in his career.

Sheryl Crow in the LHR FL and on AA107 tonight. I saw her party arrive at the FL escorted by special services but didn't recognize her. People on the plane were talking about her being there when I boarded. Saw her while she was waiting on her checked bags.

Manny Ramirez and his wife in F LAX to STL Jul 12th. He was very gracious, both in the lobby at LAX and on the plane, signing autographs, taking pictures and chatting. Sadly, I didn't even know who he was, obviously famous, but my baseball knowledge stops in the 80s!

Keanu Reaves on 7/12 in the FL at JFK, arriving off AA30 from LAX. Had "MAARS" I believe written on his sheet at the front desk, which I assume is some sort of priority service?

Could it have been MAAS? According to the wiki article (http://www.flyerguide.com/wiki/index...Codes_%28AA%29), MAAS means "Meet and Assist"...

Wouldn't MAARS be: Meet, Assist, and Reinforce Superiority?
