So is THAT the bohemian-lookin' white-haired guy that's on Jack's right? (To viewers, it'd be to Jack's left.)

Really: "before the FORUM"?! Or, did you mean "before Staples Center"?

We chatted for about 1 1/2 hours, and when the agent came to escort him on to the plane, he took me along for the VIP treatment. We sat next to each other for the last leg. Super nice guy. The world has suffered a great loss!
Welcome to FT!

Feel free to PM me if you're interested in my wacky one-of-a-kind encounter with Dennis Hopper. I'll just say here that it was after 3 a.m.

Next time you see Loretta at work, ask her how she spells her last name.

Yes, before the Forum. specifically, @ the Sports Center. They had seats next to each other in the stands before they hit the big time and moved courtside. I used to see them all the time at the Forum when I was a kid (unlike those two, I am too young for the pre-Forum days). Have a large # of Nicholson signed tix somewhere in my house...

Come on! The guy has served as an advisor to every President from Nixon to Clinton. Every time you turn on CNN, he's there. IMO he's more than just a minor celebrity. Then again, I don't condone FAs swooning over anyone if it gets in the way of providing quality service to all passengers.

I flew with him in business from Zurich back to the U.S. in the mid-90s (Clinton administration) when he was coming back from the World Economic Summit in Davos. I remember that trip fondly because coach was full and UA moved me up to business. He had a cowboy hat on. I had no idea who he was until I returned home. He served a stint as editor of U.S. News and World Report.

While upgraded I've flown with: Sean Penn and his family (he was a jerk) The stewardess even started dinner from the front instead of the back on an odd flight to make sure he got what he wanted. Significant only in that I was on atkins at the time and selected 5E specifically to get the lower carb option. he complained about the meat and left most of it while I was stuck with the pasta. Thomas Haden Church from sideways/wings (jerk). Zig Ziggler (Prince of a man). Karen Hughes (former Bush Communications director very charming). Vince Gil, (really nice and unassuming). Omar Uresti (professional golfer -super nice). Ann Richards former Gov of Tx, Lloyd Doggett Congressman (pretty nice). John Oates (hall and oates), and Rodney Carrington (comedian and had a TV series). Rodney was awesome. So much so that we've become friends and we play golf together occassionally.

Do you know that for a fact or is it an assumption? I have been on a few flights, sans famous people, and the flight attendant did not follow FEBO. Once I said something and the flight attendant got a bit irate saying something like, "Don't get me started on that."

I've had encounters with Penn and he is a self-important little twit. This account doesn't surprise me at all.

I've spotted Deion Sanders (early morning flight DFW to PHL... he sat in the last row of F with a jacket over his head), John Legend (DFW to LGA, sat across from me in F... He was very gracious and unassuming, treated the FA's very well). I was also on a flight a year or so ago from PVG to ORD with Willis Reed, who was in business class a row behind me. Seemed pretty nice.

My FA was a Hollywood Actress

I flew in from DFW to SJC a couple of days ago (being vague deliberately over here).

I was upgraded to First. While being served by the lead FA i noticed she looked very familiar.

On asking the second FA if there was a reason I knew her from somewhere, all he said was "Google her first name (from her apron) and the movie XYZABC" (being vague again to protect her privacy)

Wouldn't you know it. She is an actress!! Granted not a "A" lister but IMDB has an impressive bio on her. She has had small movie roles (with one notable exception!) and some TV roles. And she looked as good in person as her head shots on IMDB

I chatted to her for quite a bit never letting her know I knew who she was. My neighbor though (God bless his soul) nearly let the cat out by calling her by her full name! She was very suspicious and asked her how he knew. He made up a lame excuse that her AA badge was turned face forward

So now you know! Among the AA FA staff, you have Hollywood actresses!
