Cumulative C/Y 2013 Elite Rewards ELTA 3 (Registration required <link>)

Recover Your elite Rewards (requires signing in) link NOTE: ELTA Rewards must be claimed by midnight 28 Feb 2014.

"We want to thank you for flying the extra mile, so we've designed a new Elite Rewards program with you in mind. Select from special gifts to complement all of your existing elite status benefits.

Elite Rewards now offers four distinct milestones which are attainable throughout the year. And now, you can qualify with elite-qualifying miles, points or segments.

. . . ● Milestone 1: 40,000 miles or points | 45 segments
. . . ● Milestone 2: 75,000 miles or points | 80 segments
. . . ● Milestone 3: 125,000 miles or points | 130 segments
. . . ● Milestone 4: 150,000 miles or points | 160 segments

To participate in Elite Rewards, simply register prior to December 31, 2013, using promotion code ELTA3." See the Mod Note in the OP for more.

I just received two redemption emails in quick succession. I assume one is for crossing 40k miles and the other for 75k miles. However, they are both identical and the link in the emails takes me to a website where I can select awards for both Milestone 1 and Milestone 2.

Same here. Opted for the 10% discount. Should get Milestone #2 in July though not sure which one I'll opt for, 20K RDUs or 1 SWU.

Just got mine for milestone #1.

What is the general consensus on the best value as a selection? I'm guessing 10k RDMs? (I don't need any upgrade stickers or Daypasses or bag delivery.)

10% Discount Code- Lots of Restrictions/Hoops

Certainly not making it very flexible and odd restrictions, IMHO..

Your Discount code for aa.com will be sent to the email address listed on your AAdvantage® account. Please allow up to four weeks for processing to receive your code. You can update your account information on aa.com/myaccount. Code is valid for 60 days from the date you receive the code. Travel must be completed within 11 months of receiving your discount code. The following travel embargo dates apply:

2013: May 24-27; July 3-7; August 30-September 2; November 22-27 and November 30-December 2; December 20-23, and 27-31

2014: January 1-5; February 14-17; March 7-9, 14-16 and 21-23; April 18-21; May 23-26; July 3-6; August 29-Sep 1; November 21-26 and November 29-December 1; December 19-23 and 26-31

the 10% discount is pretty useless in my oppinon

the restrictions are too much for me.These are basically the dates when I had planned long journeys for which the discount would make sense. and 4 weeks processing time??

Milestone 2 and 4 only for 168k EQP?

I just received the email for the Elite Rewards, but there were only milestone 2 and 4. Shouldn't I receive all four milestones at the same time?

I also got my email. I have 135K miles, so I am past mile stone 3. When I log in to select the rewards, I only have the option to select for milestone 2 and 3, 1 is not an option. Anyone else have this issue?

Just received the confirmation email with this information, which with the exception of the blackout dates, wasn't stated anywhere (unless this is standard practice for AA discount codes like this). More restrictive than I'd thought it would be, but I can still make use of it. I suppose to most people, the 500s would have been a better choice, or 10K, but I don't really need either at this juncture.

Agreed. It's more expensive to buy 10k miles than then 2 AC passes or 3 domestic stickers. Also we get a 5% corporate discount for personal travel so an additional 5% doesn't amount to much.

To help put values on the 40k rewards:
3 stickers = $90
bag delivery = up to $49.95
2 AC day passes = $100
10% off = depends on use
10,000 miles = depends on use

Those are face value values, and of course everything depends on your needs and usage patterns. Looks like 10k miles would win for me personally.

Hey - does anyone know if the 10% could possibly be applied for a already bought ticket for a future trip?
