I think that was the other option that I was offered on my RDU-MIA flight which is posted two posts above yours.

I believe so.
My other choice for PHL-ORD was pasta.

What is the verdict on Bocconcini Pasta vs. Grilled Herb Chicken?

Like I said above, I really enjoyed the pasta. It's nice and filling. I can't compare it against the chicken but it certainly looks good too.

Definitely reassuring in light of the more negative slant taken in the past few months.

Speaking of which... should there be a new 2014 thread (for both domestic/international flights) created?

I'm amazed, but not complaint that this route at this time is a dinner flight.

Post-Dinner mint. Flawless crew, perfect flight. ^

I did 4 AA flights in First/Business last week of those, 2 were excellent and 2 were very good. Above average service on all, my only real complaint would be that when I flew MIA-ORD for about 30 minutes the crew hung out in the galley and talked, though they'd been really good before that.

Might be he has the travel booked and just did the entree pre-reservation and that's what shows up.

Yes. Thought I'd have fun with that on our thread.

SAN-MIA should also include a beef salad option, which will be much more substantial than either the fruit/cheese plate or soup. Here are some pictures from a few days ago:

As you can see, the tray comes with a Ghirardelli chocolate square and some type of roll (no choice on my flight, just either "bread" or "no bread"). I hadn't eaten much that evening, so I asked for some of the soup as well, which the FA was happy to provide, since most passengers skipped the meal and were asleep.
