I read somewhere that JAL cannot offer a direct flight to Spain without Iberia permission... but again, I don't understand anything anymore because it would make more sense for Iberia to just add a BCN - Tokyo flight rather than have ANA take it...

I think I also read on A.net that Russian Airspace use/agreement is only allowed for flights in/out of Madrid to Japan. Unless you go same route as CX321 takes via CHN, then it would be doable but I am not sure if it would be profitable.
