looks like it. I just checked on ANA and my 9/27 flight NRT-IAD has switched from 777 to 77W. kind of mixed feelings. Glad to get the new seats, but kind of bummed out about losing some windows.

Looks like you are right. I'm semi-disappointed as I am flying IAD-NRT on 8/27 and back on 9/6, so it looks like true flat seats only on the way home.

Just checked my seat assignment for June and got a message that seat might change as they are planning to change an aircraft. Hopefully will get it switched to 73W

I hope it's a 77W and not a 73W . Otherwise you might have a few extra stops than you anticipate (and a less comfy seat)!

My NRT - IAD in April still shows as a 777 and given the updates for fall I think its safe to say that they must be transitioning to a 777 during the summer months and back to the 77W in the fall / winter

Thanks for correcting. That is exactly what I mean.

Looks like they are updating the seat maps for February. I had a seat assignment for NH1 on 2/26, it has now disappeared and says "Processing". Prior to this they said the aircraft was going to change, so I assume they are going to the 77W as that is what is listed for the flight.

I flew NRT-IAD yesterday, and it was the 77W.

Looks like a mix of IOJ and non-IOJ aircraft operating this route recently, the majority being non-IOJ.

Did it ever let you pick a seat? I am in the same boat..had our assignments on NH1 for an early March flight (and saw the warning) and now we are sitting at "Processing" and the seat map just throws errors.

I was looking at a flight in mid March and the ANA website says 77W but there is no seat map available and I'm afraid of a bait and switch and the plane being downgraded to the 777 since there is no seat map available. Would others be concerned about booking w/ANA in this case?

Yes. It happened to me last year. It could easily be the 77W, but, I got burned. (UA was no help when I called about it being downgraded to two class.)

As far as I know ANA's service to IAD has consistently been three class 777's, even though the configuration has varied from old to new.

Not so concerned about the flight being downgraded to a 2 class but more concerned about the new seat vs. old seat

Yes, I understand. I have been following this thread for awhile as I have award travel booked in August and September and am hoping to be enjoying full flat in J. The configuration on the NRT-IAD has switched back and forth a number of times.
