The LAX AL, by contrast, has soup & salads & fresh vegetable cups. They are brought out from the kitchen. The self-serve area is fully stocked but an Attendant will bag up whatever you like. The salad is mixed greens with artichokes & grape tomatoes, choice of dressing. They also offer a Caprese Salad with grape tomatoes & Bocconcini drizzled with balsamic vinegar & a side of Pesto Sauce. Usual rotating soup offer.
I would say that it isn't worth going to the AC. It was, for me, rather pathetic. If that is the best AA can do in LAX, they should just shut it down.

Anybody get an offer today to get an additional 6 months free of AS Lounge access if you reup your membership? Seems they are trying to milk the lounge for as much additional revenue as they can. Luckily, my membership lapses a few weeks after the offer expiration date.

If it starts now, it may not really get me much. Will likely wait until April to decide.

I got the same email. My membership expired at the end of January. I wasn't planning to renew as I am not expecting to fly much over the next 6 months, and if I do, it would be in paid F. Does anyone know if the 12 months + 6 extra months (total of 18 months) would start from the expiration date of my last membership or if I waited until April 10 (expiration of the offer) it would start then?

PDX lounge is packed, busy for even non-COVID times. I assume Priority Pass is a big reason why. I checked in using mine instead of my lounge membership. More money for AS .

Yeah, it was pretty full when I was there on Sunday. Still plenty of seats to be had along the window bar where I sat, but most of the floor seating was taken.

If it's getting that packed, they're not going to have the staffing to wait on each person hand and foot like they do now.....it might be time to turn the soda and coffee machines back on like they are in SEA.

I may have missed this upthread somewhere because before PP rejoined it was irrelevant to me - Is AS building a new lounge at PDX as part of the construction that's going on around the C concourse?

Yes. It was originally planned to be included in this first round of construction but has been pushed to the back half. I believe the currently rendering is for around 10,000 sq/ft in the area where Capers is now, possibly on a new mezzanine level.

Great News. Thanks! I imagine it could look similar to the one at SEA if they do the mezzanine. Looking out over the runway with mountains in the background. I was just at the new SEA one in the N satellite and I was blown away at how nice it is.

I was looking forward to low down periscope views of the activity around the gates.
