it's is sad, but will be more calm in some of lounges in Seattle
Last time I was at the LAX lounge, they actually were turning away (well… “waitlisting”) F passengers (and I assume oneworld elites) in favor of their own members and Admirals Club members.

Maybe I'm about to be less mad about this, and perhaps I should know this but if I have Admirals Club membership via the Citi card and can still use the lounge that would make this suck less - still dumb IMO but make it not really effect me

timing *SUCKS* bc this is right on top of the membership fee increase email that I got earlier today

in truth, I renewed L+ in late Sep, so this doesn’t actually impact me until next fall

We don't know that. I do have a lot of tea at home. Sometimes I hear rumblings from the leaves. AS left us de facto loungeless at SFO for ages. We had some CX access for a bit (with membership necessary, no paid F) and then when AS moved to 2, as good as worthless. Then we had AA access (again, with paid membership, not with paid F). And even that disappeared, with not even lounge membership access.

This was on the heels of a small but for some of us, "second home" type old BR that we frequented for years.

As.much as I generally like AS and know how wonderful the competition can be, at times we're nothing more than the stepchild that gets the perfunctory birthday card that says "I Love You."

Not happy about that fee hike at all. Feels stingy, slap in the face.
My membership lapsed a month ago and I haven't re-upped yet, and now? Hmmm

You can be unhappy all you want but in today's travel world the seat you would have occupied in the lounge will be filled by someone else in the blink of an eye...

Regards

SFO really needs a nice Priority Pass restaurant in T1. Since Lark Creek accepts PP in T2 I've stopped going to the AS lounge. Maybe just to grab some candy or a quick drink, but otherwise its very meh.

Changes to Alaska Lounge access policy (For First Class Tickets)

Sorry, missed the discussion up thread. Yay to a (hopefully?) less crowded N lounge!

I think the Admirals Club access alone for me is worth it -- LAX T5 is a haven!

The Mimosa ($14) I ordered there, with breakfast, put me way over my $28 PP budget.

And... ANC BR is closing at 3PM on Thanksgiving. Not sure if any other locations have shorter hours.
