The chicken breast was dry, as expected, but still tasty. The saffron rice and lemon meringue were very good. Still better than what most other airlines are serving these days. No cookies were offered on the flight.

I thought the cod was...fine? To me it seemed mildly flavored and the cod was cooked well and not dry. Overall, it tasted like a lighter/healthier meal. Also, mine definitely looked less black than the one in gold10829's post. Our F/A also wrote different quotes for each of our meals which I thought was interesting.

No plated dessert meant the cookies came out, which ended up being southern toffee with nuts (maybe pecans?), and as expected, delicious.

Cod was really dry. However couldn’t complain as I was hungry. Snack basket came out 1 hour prior to arrival. Cookie was given shortly after meal was cleared

It was pretty decent tho unremarkable and came with a lemon meringue tart. Service was very good and professional with a pass of the snack basket around an hour out of DCA.

This was my first transcon since COVID, but things mostly seemed normal except the coffee was in paper cups. My wife and I pre-ordered the kale bowl, which we both thought was pretty tasty. My neighbor had the onion frittata, I passed on that as I hate onions but it also looked pretty good. My son pre-ordered the fruit and cheese plate, which came with yogurt. There was one pass of the snack basket about an hour before landing; I selected the pea-toes based on reviews here and was not let down. We landed around an hour early due to favorable winds, all in all a very smooth flight although JFK Terminal 1 is pretty sad these days.

I was hesitant but tried the Bahn-mi. It was OK. The pickled slaw and Sriracha really made the sandwich. The bread was a bit too thick and some small bits were very soggy. Also, the banhmi had this sauce (Sriracha mayo???) that didn't really belong in a banhmi, imo. Overall though, it was fine. I woke up hungover that day so the carby bread was really appreciated. 😂

This was MUCH tastier than it looked - I really enjoyed it! Excellent service from the flight attendant in First, who gave me a warm welcome as a oneworld frequent flyer.

LAX-CUN
Lunch:
Entrée Salad with egg. (Other option was Beef Sandwich)
This was ok - the cauliflower was marinated in curry, which overwhelmed the flavor of the dish.

Both meals were delicious. The breakfast was very filling, as was the dinner. I know it has been mentioned before, but I can't get over the fact that it's a real filet! I would pay $35 in a restaurant and be happy. It's also great to see that even the disposable napkins retain the button hole.

I am inordinately excited about the appearance of Swedish Fish; in the VX days the snack basket often contained Swedish Fish from Dean & Deluca. Of course, if you’re really a NW native, you know the tastiest Swedish Fish were found at either Frederick & Nelson, Lipman-Wolfe or Meier & Frank candy counters. But I digress. If we’re bring back historical F&B items, how about some Coconut Grizzlies?

The answer last night on PHX-SFO: Nothing. Unless you count a single beverage service before the FAs hid in the galley for remainder of flight. No snack basket, no water bottle, not even the antiseptic wipe. It was kind of like flying UA

Ahh, the VX days. I was a very happy camper when the Fruit Salad jellies from Dean and Deluca were in the snack basket. I still have one of the M &M’s mini containers. Refilled for travel.

A new item in the snack basket was a surprise though. Sweedish Fish!

The soft blue LED lighting was appropriate for fish from the Ocean. 😉

Smart Fish! They have been "schooled" to spell. 😂

It was a long day, ready for another tomorrow and again on Wednesday.

On AS3346 from SAN to PDX now, an OO E75. Turkey sandwich was tasty, not soggy.

Gooey Chocolate cookies were offered right at the perfect time to end lunch.

Attentive FA, keeps coming through to check on us.

10/10 so far...

Got an email from Alaska saying that I will be getting Fruit/Cheese plate and that I should pre-order. Is that necessary? I am not a Fruit/Cheese plate person. Luckily my husband is. I might grab something from the house just in case. Hopefully the snack basket have some bananas otherwise I will just have cookies and candies for dinner.

You can always pre-ordered a cheese plate now and not take it in flight. I can almost guarantee you that there will be no bananas in the snack basket.

Yep. The way things have been recently I think you are more likely to see banana or orange flavored Laffy Taffy than you are any type of naturally occurring fruit.

Until the banana was mentioned, I had forgot that fresh fruit used to be available in the snack basket.

The introduction of Swedish Fish was a surprise to more than one FA on my recent flights. They replaced the Beef Jerkey though.

That is sad to hear. Beef Jerky, with Swedish Fish for dessert might actually be the perfect airline meal. Well, that along with a single malt, then a fine Bordeaux (oh this is AS - Bored-O) with the beef and an XO cognac (oh this is AS - substitute any brown booze in a minibottle) with dessert.
