See below in the expanded wiki for the list of the reconfigured aircraft.

December 3, 2015 Alaska announced a reconfiguration of its fleet.

You can find the scheduled tail number of your flight here:

(replace as123 with as[your flight num])
However aircraft swaps are frequent, even up to the last hour.

Beckoa;

I'm certainly not "in the know" like you. Just a retired Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrician (and former Air Force major (2nd generation)) doing some math calculations based on previous performance. As a pediatrician, I am eternally optimistic. I also plan for any eventuality.

Reading your addition to the top of the Wiki, it seems that the rate of reconfiguration will slow considerably for the -900s & -900ERs.

I flew upon N319AS this afternoon RDU-SEA.

When I arrived at the gate, N315AS was parked there. Then ship 319 taxied in.

Whut tha-?! Did AS add a new flight to RDU from PDX?

No. Gate agent said the plane ferried in from GSO, and that ship 315 was on its way out there for reconfiguration work.

Could I have flown upon the first revenue flight of a newly reconfigured -900? If so, with that flight I passed over 300,000 miles logged solely aboard Alaska 737-900s. ^

Everything onboard is as stated in the stats above. First and Premium classes look spacious!

On the down side, the three lavs in the rear have been replaced by these new really narrow modular units. They are waaaaay less spacious. We're talkin' Ryanair style here...

Yes, that was the first revenue flight of a reconfigured 900.

Yeah, Delta has those as well on their 737-900ER. Were all three lavs made more narrow, or just the ones behind the last row of seats?

Any update on the number of completed -900 conversions? Out of how many total? 65+17 (on order)?

It looks like the total 900/ER's to be reconfigured is 71. Right now the number that are complete is still one. Two more should be in service in a few days.

[QUOTE=AZ Boomer;27896315]Any updates?

Flying PDX-PSP round trip in mid/late March. Seating chart shows it's a 900 but 4 rows of first...can I rely on the site for not being an ER and safely book Row 1? I hate Row 1 w/a 36" pitch. Thanks for any input.

I should have added that the seat map show "extra legroom" only in Row 6 and exit rows

Sounds like the standard config with limited pitch... granted a converted 739/ER could show up... but these are mere unicorns right now in AS' fleet. [Or an a/c swap to something else too]

N315AS Done

Can't seem to edit the sticky from my phone. In any case, N315AS mod is completed and it ferried GSO-RDU this afternoon. Aircraft is currently enroute to SEA as AS727.

Excellent.

Still think its funny the 739 is being modded first . Guess the 739ER requires a different certificate from the FAA to operate as its a slightly different configuration?

Interesting that it took so long. As noted a few posts back, I flew into RDU aboard ship 315 on its last revenue flight (SEA-RDU on January 18th) before being ferried over to GSO for the reconfiguration later that day.

It's hard to imagine that it took three and a half weeks to do the conversion...

Wonder if the 739's are scheduled for heavy MX too? (C,D checks)
