more f/a rumors ehh. If AS is thinking about outside the US destinations I doubt theyre thinking across the big pond. Im thinking more along the lines of Latin America or Puerto Rico or even Canada

If Canada is an option, YYZ is definitely number 1. There must be some heavy frees associated with landing a mainline aircraft in Canada as I've experienced the "big 3" have moved towards smaller jets.

Alaska claims a range of 3,383 statute miles for its 738s. SEA-HNL is 2,677; ANC-HNL is 2,777. Yet aircraft get diverted for tech stops. Scheduling routes at max range in still air & standard conditions doesn't work in reality - ask the United flyers about Gander diversions on winter west-bound 757s from Europe.

I'll point out that DL has 757s (configs with 4,700 mile range) in ANC every day and (still) a hub in NRT but doesn't fly ANC-NRT.

hoping AA doesnt get rid of the US shuttle from PHL. Sucked when AS lost CO and therefore lost the shuttle from EWR to MDT

To my knowledge, YYZ is the most expensive airport in the world to land a plane at?

Also, IIRC AS used to fly to YYZ in the mid 90's (ex-LAX?) but AC moved into the market and made it short lived.

Maybe in North America but some I know there are some airports in Japan and Australia that are through the darn roof

AC was already in the market and flying 767 and L1011's several times a day. Alaska was flying MD80's with no inflight entertainment. The meals in FC were pretty extraordinary, and the coach meals were good but they were no match for the Widebody flights with inflight movies and free food as well - plus Alaska had virtually no brand recognition in Eastern U.S. or Canada and wasn't as well known in Los Angeles as they are today. It was a losing battle right out of the gate unfortunately.

And now they're down to just two daily E190s. I'd like to see an AS flight there myself, but that doesn't bode well for the passenger demand.

And per Chugach's comment -- that was my understanding as well.
FAA forbids Y PAX in F cabin on international flights

I can't speak to international, but some domestic possibilities are...

Pittsburgh
Charlotte
Milwaukee
Memphis
Cincinnati
Indianapolis

Not to mention the possibility of added capacity via larger aircraft or more scheduled flights on markets such as SEA-IAH or SEA-PHL.
