AS #66 did not get in on December 7 also. I was supposed to be on it. Light load may have been factor although weather was claimed as cause.

FlightAware shows that AS #66 diverted from JNU to SEA on 12/3 and again diverted to KTN on 12/7.

I've been checking that flight because I'm supposed to be on it later this week -- and want to guesstimate my odds for getting into Juneau.

Alaska doesn't cancel stops on the milk run because of "light loads"

I'd imagine AS has a lot better cargo contracts as well...

Hadn't been to SEA since early 2014 (shouldn't have been there last night either but AA 2522 was diverted from PDX-SEA) and was amazed at the amount of DL jets parked.

Looks like DL wants to fill some of their planes out of SEA this winter. 5k to 7.5k SkyPesos. Only on AS overlapping routes. I wonder if we'll see a match from the Eskimo. (At least one can dream.)

Basically filling planes with non-rev using their most loyal pax. Maybe their loads in the winter aren't what they had hoped if they can go this low in miles.

Considering all DL Alaska flights are 10K each way and AS is only 12.5K, it's not that much different heading anywhere north.

Ill have to say, paying 5k sky pesos is a better use of them then paying the 180+ I have had to pay OW recently on some PDX-SEA flights.

what type of metal ? Not that I would fly them

In the near future I think the business travel will be off this coming year or two as the economy softens even more in Alaska, I know mine has this past year.

739ER and 738.

They're not going double daily to FAI to get business traffic in the summer.

And...drumroll...DL adds (or resumes, if you want to get technical)...

PDX-ANC

Presumably seasonal.

Wow AS and B6 now DL. Hopefully we will see some great fares like last summer. It made doing an Alaskan Cruise a lot cheaper.

Now their getting serious! Still not enough to make me fly DL, emergencies aside.

Business travel is slowing "up north" We will see, not sure other than the seasonal low lying fruit how much DL gains.
