To try to make sense of what's all happening between AS and DL, the idea arose during the recent Alaska do to create a compendium in the wiki of the various stages of the current spat. Please add your knowledge where you can!

wow ... imo CZ E75s are pretty much the best non-mainline jet in the DL fleet

According to the weather ob history, there was plenty of ceiling and visibility last night. Wind must have been the issue, there were gusts reported in the ~30 knot range. If not that, then maybe a navaid or avionics issue?

AS 66, 67, and 70 had no problems.

Makes sense on the surface, but would DL risk their "100 days of no (mainline) cancellations" metric by sending a 738 to JNU in the winter? It's also my understanding that the E-jets have the same navigational limitations as the CR7, however on the flip side they have enough range to circle for a while or pop up to ANC. The CR7 is really range limited on a route of that length if the weather is marginal.

Good on DL for at least (supposedly) recognizing that the CR7 isn't the right plane for that route in the winter and that it's only going to get worse.
