Perks
Chauffeur Drive NOT Available
Car service is not available for all Business Class and First Class passengers on Alaska Airlines ticketed award tickets on Emirates flights (as of Jan 2015). The chauffeur will not confirm if you use the EK website for this, though the website makes it look you can make a reservation.
Lounges
Access is available for all passengers traveling in Business and First Class. Not all cities have lounges and many may be operated by a Partner. There have been some reports of people having an issue accessing the Dubai lounges as the tickets may appear in their system as non-revenue employee travel. This is not as much of a problem as it used to be but in case it comes up please advise the lounge attendant that you are on an Alaska Airlines award.
Dubai Connect
AS Awards on EK do not qualify for Dubai Connect, which is the service that offers the free hotel.
Tricks to find Transoceanic availability
Instead of performing a blanket, i.e. SEA-DXB search, perform: SEA-MED.
Madinah is a destination that is only served by EK. Consequently, if there is availability, only EK will show up in the calendar results.

AS is the one issuing/re-issuing the tickets. Can you confirm that both ticket numbers start with 027?
I would call that outright fraudulent if EK actually caused previously-booked tickets to be re-issued just to wiggle out of a benefit they no longer wanted to provide.

Really complain to the DOT? Wow. How to ruin great redemption opportunities 101. If this partnership ever dies, we all know who to blame.

Did I miss something (other than no chauffeur). I guess I need to go read the EK forum.
Maybe that will answer my question about why it even matters if ticket was reissued or not. How is it not any different than the mileage accrual rate changing after booking? They can take it away at a whim without reissuing a ticket if i'm not mistaken

Low class in first class.
Seriously, getting yourself all riled up over a $50 taxi ride. I get that people want to save money, but then why fly first class to be a skinflint over a $50 ride? A DOT complaint is hardly worth the time and will spoil it for everyone. (I recognize a few pages ago I might have suggested it, but why bother?)

Oh dear. I think sometimes folks don't realize what a terrific deal they are getting in being able to book Emirates F using Alaska miles. The in-flight experience and the first class lounge floor at DXB more than make up for not getting a fancy car ride.

Too late, it's done. Also no way the partnership/costs stay as is given that it's significantly cheaper to book via Alaska miles than Emirates Skywards (miles and fuel surcharges)

Oh the irony of an entire message board comprised of complainers, whining about a passenger complaining.
A single ticket could have four chauffeur drive services within a single ticket (departure, stopover-arrival, stopover-departure, arrival). While a taxi might be $15, a private car is certainly not (and sometimes a private car really is needed). So by my estimate the total lost value per ticket for myself is closer to $200.
That is certainly more material than 99% of the complaints on this board...
