PP lounges are good as 'the last resort' where there are generally no other lounges available / or not available to me. Of course, I prefer airline, alliance, Centurion lounges, and anytime those are options, there where I'll be. But at many non-hub / smaller airports they simply dont exist. PP lounges are, in those instances, good enough, just so I'm not in the terminal with the masses :)
Best examples I can think of are at SJD, SMF, COS OAK, and SJC, each of which I've frequented multiple times. |
Greetings from Asia, where I've used PP lounges at NRT, ICN, HAN, XMN, CAN, BKK, KUL, CGK, and TPE in the last week alone. In North America the lounge selection is terrible. Elsewhere? They are at just about every major airport, and at many minor ones where you might not expect to find a lounge at all (BBK, I'm looking at you!). And m:pst of the lounges are actually fairly decent.

CGK's offerings could use some work, too. But for sheer quantity (not necessarily quality) of lounges, BKK certainly takes the cake. |

Japan has awful Priority Pass lounges, and KUL isn't much better.

For a less than stellar PP lounge, the "lounge" at VLI (Port Vila, Vanuatu) wins the prize for me. It was basically a room with AC and a few drinks. But the rest of the waiting area had no AC. There were seats and the price was right. The lounge at XMN was basically a room with 14 seats. But they had power, snacks, and even a bathroom. |

I'm not sure what you are expecting. The lounges at KUL are perfectly fine. They had decent food & beverages and c:omfortable chairs. And, I had a shower and nice 3hr nap in a pod, also courtesy of PP.

But I know that Japanese Priority Pass lounges are heavy on the stingy, with hot tea/coffee being the only discernible difference between them and the rest of their occupied terminals. A number of Miracle Lounges in Bangkok gave me guff about the 2-hour limit, even though hardly any other guest showed up within those time frames. OTOH, I suppose it's a dulled argument, since it would be easy enough to hop over to another lounge in BKK. Everything about KUL is rubbish, from the rude and lazy immigration officers, to the individual gate security checks and weak food offerings , so I don't even try to fly to/through there anymore. As for Chinese lounges, I've been to a lot. They vary from having inedible food to "sure, why not," seating is often ample, and I've always found service to be friendlier than many other countries. |

Been to the new PP lounge in CGK T3? It's probably one of the best PP lounges out there...
In unrelated news, how are the hub Garuda Indonesia lounges? |
Regarding Japan airport lounges, their domestic ones are awful. I've been to PP and NH domestic lounges at NRT, HND, FUK, and they are all mainly a more quiet and peaceful place to sit and wait, with very limited drinks and hardly any food options.

Is that just me noticing now or has a large number of lounges refuced the time for PP members from 3 to 2 hours?
FWIW a few of these still allow 3 hours for members of other programs. |

Did you mean that the rule has changed on the PP app that now states 2 hours instead of 3 for these lounges? Or that these lounges imposed their own 2-hour limit contrary to the written rule on the PP website or app?

At the same time, some of these lounges (like those associated with Plaza Premium) provide a 3 hour limit for holders of certain credit cards, so it is not a lounge-side change (at least not universal). |
I think these types of changes are made by the lounges, not by Priority Pass. Plaza Premium may receive a higher payment for visits through other programs.
