England's rugby team, yesterday morning in the lounge at CDG 2B. Actually, in the part of the AF lounge occupied by another airline.

Half-part of the National Fijian Rugby team on the flight KE0902 (CDG-ICH) 10th October

With them, bussiness seats seems to be Air India eco seats.

Sorry guys but just trumped you both. On Monday while I was waiting for BA315 CDG-LHR departing at 13.50.

The whole Rugby World Cup winning South African team (complete with the cup) in the 2B lounge at CDG. First part of lounge was sectioned off with South African security guards stopping other passengers from entering this area.

Jean NOUVEL

He's a famous architect, from whom know his architectural work.

I recognized him on the last (business) bus to our A320 from CDG2F to BCN.

He sat next to me (he's quite large...) and I took my chance to chat a bit about his work He was on his way to complete his infamous tower in Barcelona (nicknamed "the pito"...) with an adjacent garden.

He's about never bothered - he told me - because, well, he's not really a star!

He sat up front but I did not envy him, he had a crying baby next to his hears the whole flight... My seat was the exit row and enjoyed therefore (further away from crying monster) a lot

Interesting - so how was the conversation spontaneous or a little forced - I'm amazed you recognized him or are you an architect as well?

Last flight to Buenos Aires : Laurent Ruquier (French TV producer) : at check-in desk. I was seated at 9, he was at 10.

For a recent project at Toulouse, was seated next to Paul-Henri Mathieu (12th world tennis player). I have to confess that I did not recognise him. That's why I did not understand why my young assistant came to show me some documents at my seat (1A) so many times, as I wanted to sleep. She told me when we arrived at Toulouse: “Haven’t you recognised Paul-Henri Mathieu?” “Paul-Henri who??”

I was seated recently next to Ms Lagarde, French Finance Minister (a really charming lady)

Alain Ducasse, at Le Patio, ORY airport (one year ago)

Paris-Toulon (close to Saint Tropez & Côte d'Azur)
- Ms Pinault (François Pinault's wife): I slept on her shoulders (and wake up very confused at landing, but Ms Pinault was absolutely adorable and was smiling at the situation). Her body guard, behind me, was not smiling at all!!
- Jean-Louis Borloo (French Minister of sustainable development) and his wife
- Arthur (TV producer) and his wife (at that time)

Djibril Cissé (Paris-Bastia, if I can remember well; I was seated next to him). Every young lady went crazy in the plane.

The funniest situation was once at ORY: we listened "last call for Mr Douste-Blazy (at that time French MP and Minister), last call for Mr Douste Blazy". As Douste-Blazy is not a common name, everybody thought it was the MP. And when he arrived, running to the boarding gate, everybody was staring at him. He blushed and was very confused.

Jean Reno on AF075 LAX-CDG on 15th Nov 2008, in L'espace Premier. Was escorted from the Air Canada lounge to the plane with my dad and I. As we walked through the terminal people were getting their cameras out and pointing at us. Made us feel like a celeb too!

Arthur (French TV producer) and his wife (at that time, Estelle something, used to be married to Johnny Halliday's son), spotted few years ago having a drin at Toulon (Hyeres in fact) airport, the usual hub for St Tropez when they are not using private jets and land at La Mole, much closer...

Jack Lang (French politician) spotted in March arriving from ??? at CDG

Probably other "celebrities", but i wouldn't have a clue...

Hi Nicolas75!

We were on the same flight (AF418 23DEC, right?)! I was flying Y, and saw him run back to the plane as I was deboarding: he had apparently forgotten his laptop (said my sister who overheard a FA's conversation).

Funnily enough, both of my parents were upgraded from Z(!) to P, which means that being famous is not taken into account by GAETAN when processing the upgrade list !

Edited to add, although OT:
According to sources within RM at AF, almost 20 upgrades from Y to J were done on this flight. I was also informed that my being Plat sort of guaranteed I'd get one of those REPINV. But I did the mistake of requesting an exit row at CI... It seems Gaetan will then exclude you from the opup list as upgrading an exit row passenger means visually checking that the person being seated there in lieu is fit enough. I spent the whole flight beating myself up for that rookie mistake, so I thought I'd share it so that everyone can learn from it!

I did too when check in. The lady said: I am going to secure that for you. And at the very moment she said that, she saw that I had been upgraded.
