no I had it some years ago but the upgrade was 250.000 miles from award J to P. I thought it was so ridiculously high and wrote AF/KL about it and they answered me that there was made a mistake and one can not upgrade from J award to P.
But this was 3-4 years ago. Maybe it’s possible now.

VIE-AMS 68 EUR
AMS-CUN 494 EUR

Price for Explorer member who will be 6XP short of silver status after this booking. I would take the long haul for sure, as Platinum I'd pass on the EU leg offer.

Very nice deal for a night! Catering in eco s*cks - no choice and same meal all the time .
Are you used to frequently accept these upgrade offers?

Not that frequently - only for LH sub500. Usually don’t take anything above that threshold. Comes in waves of good and bad deals (on that RT I was offered the same deal inbound and outbound last week, then this week > €650 to DXB…

CDG-BCN 22300 miles or 86 EUR. After long time reasonable offer which I decided not to take.

My experience for a DUS-CDG-DXB tomorrow : Offered an upgrade at check-in from Premium Eco (A booked, which went into S due to lots of schedule changes) to Business on the 777-300 for 309 Euros oneway or 44100 miles. I don't think the offer is that bad, but since we are a party of 4, I will pass, especially given that no extra XP will be awarded for this, and the gf and I are both STE+ already so lounge access is no added benefit. If we did not have already lounge access that could have been a decent offer, especially with a 5 hour layover in CDG. Let's see if the price drops a bit later.
My parents flying LYS-CDG-DXB tomorrow (meeting them tomorrow in CDG) had the same price offered for the upgrade on the CDG-DXB segment.
I called a week ago to enquire about a paid upgrade and was quoted something like 1200 Euros per pax ! (which would have included an upgrade on the DUS-CDG too, that's some expensive cheese-filled gavottes that we have here :-))

Hoping to get a better offer on the way back given the lighter loads in the J and Premium eco almost completely full one week before departure.

If you are booked in S and you can find J awards at around 50k one way, this should mean you could possibly request a miles upgrade at lower miles amount, to the order of 10-15k. Then married segments might screw this up but you could try to upgrade on the phone with miles from S to O.
At the moment it seems there is no O-award available, lower award for the evening flight is in Z class. From W, upgrades can be done for a low amount of miles to Z class though.

AF651 today CUN to CDG explorer

Y to J 1.649 EUR
Y to Y+ 509 EUR

AF653 today CUN to CDG explorer

Y to J 532 EUR
Y to Y+ 241 EUR

nobody is taking advantage because 6 hours before AF651 guys will try a miracle to get "one time passport" at embassy to be able to travel because they were robbed and only have phone. Ups.

CDG-DXB PE (A) -> J 429 EUR (Peak time, 30-Dec)
DXB-CDG PE (A) -> J 269 EUR, mid-Jan, J -> F would be 4000 AED at check-in but that was too steep for 7h flight.

A lot of cancellations across the airlines yesterday, my friend was rebooked from LX to AF and departing 2 days later.

PRG-CDG 70€ or 16500 miles
CDG-MRU Y to Y+ 319€ or 44500 miles
CDG-MRU Y to J 689€ or 96500 miles

he took PRG-CDG cash as he hates lines after LX flight on Tuesday and missed TK option in the evening, so he will have SP labeled BP also for CDG (if he goes 2F to 2K, at this time last week it took me 15 minutes &#128512 and he hopes to be able to visit lounge at CDG.

CDG - PTY from W (S bucket) to J: 309 EUR.
Another superb offer after my 279 EUR upgrade from MEX to CDG in November. This time a 11h 15m flight in a flat bed.

Took it with no hesitation, although I am one of the few who don’t mind a long day flight in W.

I skipped the 79 EUR offer from CPH to CDG. Being FB Gold, the only difference is really the empty middle seat on board and the catering. I can stuff my face in CDG (and now also in J to PTY).
J cabin still looks half empty. Let’s see tomorrow how it evolves.

Based on my recent long haul experiences, do not have high expectations about stuffing yourself on board
