The fare is applicable for a ticket used fully, in sequential order for the specified journey and on the specified dates. As outlined in the General Conditions of Carriage, any non-compliant use noticed on the day of travel may incur an additional fixed-rate fee at the airport for the amount of: - for flights in Europe (including Metropolitan France and Corsica) € 125 in Economy and € 300 in Business; - for intercontinental flights € 500 in Economy and Premium Economy and € 1.500 in Business and La Première (or the equivalent in the local currency) .
That's the fee if you want to continue your trip where you have missed previous flights. You can also ask for a reprice of the ticket which could be more advantageous.
However, if you just want to forfeit all the last segments of a ticket after a given point, there is no such fee if you don't have checked bags. If you have bags in transit and what to retrieve them although you don't have a stopover ticketed at the transit point, there is another kind of fee I think.

Arriving in DXB

Was wondering if I am transferring to a QR flight after landing on AF LP will I be able to use the lounge AF uses there? The 77W turns around 2 hours later I believe so it should be open. Not even sure the name of the lounge but would the escort with the golf cart be able to take me there? Or will I not have access as my onward is not Sky Team?

If not allowed to use that lounge would the escort be able to take me to the lounge QR uses? I believe both QR and AF are in T1..

Lastly, any of you had to spend 10 hours at DXB and do you think its crazy to spend all that time in the lounge, especially since its not EK F... I'll have to seek out a Dubai forum and see about hotels near the airport Vs. the airport hotel.

Booked a AF flight in LP from FRA to SIN with a 7 hour layover in CDG. My first LP experience was not up to my expectations, hoping that was a one off experience and this will be better. Fingers crossed. For the Spa in the LP lounge in Paris, is advance booking possible?

According to your many posts, You seem to be flying all over the world in a few days.
Today, you say that you are flying MEX-CDG in J, and now it is in P.

Anyway, AF flies to T2 and QR departs from T1. There is no golf cart transfer, for LP simply a car transfer.

You will no be able to use the LP (la Premiere) lounge as arrival lounge as your ticket end there without transit..
QR has a fabulous Business lounge at T1.
However, if you transfer international airside from T2 to T1, you will not be able to use it as it is pre-security and police.
To use it, you would have to enter France at T2, transfer to T1 landside and then go to the lounge.

This is not the forum to ask for DXB if arriving from QR and continuing on ....

Not sure where I said these questions are for the next few days....Although that said both my J & LP flight are within a few days of each other but not in the next few days.

MEX-CDG is in J, as there is no F. And the reason to go to MEX is cause it was 80% less than flying from LAX.

My LP flight is CDG to DXB.

I think you were giving me info about transiting at CDG but my question is about arriving into DXB on LP and then transferring to QR.. There was golf cart service upon arrival last time so I am wondering can I ask the golf cart escort to take me to the lounge LP uses there or would I not be allowed in since I am continuing on with QR and not a Sky Team partner?

If I cant use that lounge I was asking would the golf cart be able to drop me at the QR lounge? Or maybe to the Health Club in T3? Just wondering if they will take me where i want or is it simply to passport/immigration as if you are exiting the airport. I have 10 hours at DXB and just trying to figure out what to do.

Yes, just contact them by mail. We had only 1 slot available 6 weeks up front, so better to reserve asap.

All good, no worries. This around the world trip is even confusing for me to keep up with.

Really looking forward to flying AF in J on the new A350 seats. Was able to snag Row 1, it looks huge.

I hope my 2nd ever LP experience will be better than the first. I think I went in with too high of expectations the first time.

What were the issues that made it miss expectations? I will have an opportunity to meet with the higher ups in AF next week and glad to provide feedback and make suggestions for improvement (reasonable ones).

I also was very underwhelmed and here are the reasons:

1) When the chaueffer pulled up no one was there to greet me or take me inside. I ended up having to go inside myself and find the lounge/check in area.

2) Going through security/metal detectors with the entire airport did not feel very premium

3) The lounge could have been 3-4 degrees cooler for my liking

4) The first shower I was given was broken.

5) The shower I finally got could have had 8-10 degrees hotter water

6) A private area with a full day bed where you could take a nap comfortably would have been appreciated

7) While the eggs were outstanding I did not find my lunch entree good at all

8) Onboard while the service was good and well intentioned but it felt a litlte too forced, almost like they were going through the motions

9) I found every single course to be either lacking texture, flavour or seasoning. I was super disappointed with the food onboard

10) I was not happy with the flat champagne onboard and overall was expecting better bubbles.

Feel free to share any or all of these

THANK YOU.

I love the lounge, but it can be extremely stuffy, meaning too warm and no air circulating.

Better to keep it on the cool side and let people layer up vs. keeping it too warm.

Yes I couldnt agree more with you. I dont understand the logic of keeping anywhere on the hot side (steam rooms & saunas aside )..

The TK lounge at IST is an example of this but I think b/c its open air maybe not as many people are bothered but I was warm there.

My worse airport experience for being hot is at ZRH. The entire airport was like a sauna.

At any rate yes LP is on the small side and if its at a busy time no doubt it can feel very stuffy..

People can always layer up, but what can you do if you are overheating....
