I have done this on a MEX-CDG-SIN in LP with a stopover (of 10 months), after my MEX-CDG last May, I had a flight to RBA on the same day, I informed them and and i got the full LP service, the LP lounge and the escort to the next flight. I just called LP line inquiring how it would work and they said I will have all LP services and it was great indeed!
By the way how did you find this ticket at 241 k miles? (if that's what you meant?), the lowest i find is 293 000 miles for a DXB-CDG-MEX.

I am flying in the morning from TLV - IAD with a connection at CDG. I am flying from TLV-CDG on LY and then connecting to AF in La Premiere. Should I still expect to be met at the LY gate by an AF concierge who will take me to the La Premiere lounge? I've flown in La Premiere before, but always connecting AF to AF, not from an unrelated airline, although this is all on one single ticket.

I have done a similar thing in the past on SIN-CDG in LP connecting to a separate Y ticket CDG-ZRH on AF. Given that AF257 is quite reliable and usually arrives on time in CDG, I opted for the early ZRH-departure trusting that I would be in good hands with Air France. Baggage got labelled through and my Boarding pass which I received in SIN correctly showed SIN-CDG in P and CDG-ZRH in Eco.
The issue then was that the reservations were not linked in their system and the purser on board did not know about my connection.
After a more or less on-time departure things got worse as we had a terrible winter headwind (was somewhen in January or February) and after I woke up somewhere over Turkey realized that the estimated arrival time was almost an hour late, leaving me with a 25 minutes for the transfer to 2F. I then showed my Boarding pass with both flights to the surprised purser and that's when I understood that I might be in trouble. The purser then contacted ground staff and made them aware of the connecting passenger, however could not confirm whether I will make the tight connection. Even the captain showed up and explained the difficult situation, but they will try their best. Upon arrival in CDG, I was greeted by the La Premiere Lady, driven to the lounge for passport and security check, she was in constant contact with the gate agent of the ZRH flight and made the impossible happen. I was last to board and gladly took my exit row seat. Before we even pushed back, the purser came to notify me that my bag is on board.
That was the day when my loyalty towards Air France was massively strengthened. Going above and beyond for somebody on a separate Y ticket was an absolutely great attitude and I have enjoyed multiple more La Premiere flights since then.
My only recommendation when you do this on 2 separate tickets, let the agent link the 2 reservations in the system.

Thank you, I mean two for one since 293k miles for two LP flights is the best miles price you can get. That is great news indeed, did you fly in Y or J to RBA? Was it a reward ticket too? I dont think it would make a difference since I believe AF will get paid well from VS. We have option of 39k in J on Etihad but 3:20am departure is oh my my.
it was on Y revenue ticket so I dont think it matters, that was my initial fear but it did not matter !
I had a very long layover so it was a nice touch to be able to benefit from a very calm lounge to do some work and relax.

I was invited to an AF event to celebrate "90 years of elegance" in Paris
Very nice event in a nice museum
I had a long talk with the director in charge of AF client experience including Ulti & LP
He assumed the fact that wine selection is well below some competitors but he believes that food is well above all competitors... well, I don't agree about this point especially for some outstations
AF will probably install before Olympics a dedicated security lane for P clients in CDG (might be a good thing if Ulti can use it)
Generally speaking, I found the positioning quite questionable as if I summarise "we have the best P product and pax keep paying despite the big increases so we'll continue that way".
No plan to have more than 4 seats per cabin.
Ulti ground service will not see any improvements soon as dedicated immigration lane on arrival in 2e is working very well...
No plan at all to provide similar service than HON and Ulti is already very generous

Re your summary above, this is 100% consistent with that Ben Smith interview that was posted here earlier this year. So the message is clear from the top down. Right or wrong, this is how they have, are and will be running the LP business (at least for the foreseeable future). Pax, act accordingly.

during their client events in Paris :
they are convinced having the best First Class product. I’ve been told that they have corporate from the luxury/fashion industry ready to pay 20K. Selling 2 tickets in P bucket fares is bringing +40K EUR ; better than 4 in F bucket fares at the previous prices (4x7K)
I’ve mentioned that I turned 50% of my F trips to competition (LX, SQ, CX) following the recent massive price increase : answer was clear and direct “that’s a good opportunity for you to test competition, but you’ll see, you’ll come back to us !”

Answer : That's normal as you had a connection
Paying 25% extra to avoid a connection, I might do it but when it's double, no way
Looking at tickets to GRU early feb 24:
- Around 7,5k with LX
- 11k with AF

In any case, for AF, P doesn't generate that much direct $ either way--few planes with few seats. So it's part of a bigger strategy but not one of DIRECT revenue and profits.

We'll assume the gentleman has never flown JL F? I've only had limited experience of AF P food and it was very good, but JL F food - including Western, is consistently a lot better. In fact, arguably, even JL J food was better especially main courses which I found less than stunning on AF. Without wishing to sound like a snob, I also don't think people pay the exorbitant AF P prices to eat paleron but perhaps that's just me.
