Here are some information on the flight transfers between AF and the PRF (maybe Hop !) - in French, sorry :

And here the invitation to the Press conference on January 28th (Monday):

And here's the goodie... the picture of the PRF's boss... The Britair CFDT blog seems to love that picture, which is supposed to be quite old.

When they say "transfer flights from Regional to Air France" and basically list most (?) CDG routes and some LYS routes currently operated by one of the feeders, what does that mean? That the feeder airline will keep part of its fleet in AF colours and offer some sort of AF "mainline" service, whilst the rest of their fleet and operations will be HOPped and I presume LCCed? I would suspect that they do not switch those routes to mainline planes, correct?

Apart from the absurd name (pour les non-francophones quoi), there is a small issue of plagiarism of the "!"in the logo. (See Air Alps picture)

By absurd, I mean, like, it goes way beyond the classical clumsiness of Air France leadership in over-estimating its proficiency in English. Once upon a time, a sort of premium Y, or low-end C, on European routes, was marketed as "Tempo Challenge". Indeed, it was always a Challenge to understand the nature and value of this class. It was always full of suited and be-tied Parisian middle-managers. Now, it has gone, but the ability of AF to sho*t itself in its feet is, clearly, not gone yet. Hup!

Wouldn't it mean that in CDG you would arrive at 2F instead of 2G, wich is only for regional flights and not for mainline? If this is the case, then it's a great move!

According to La Tribune, the Name will be:

"Hop! by Air France"

Prices are believed to start at 59€ and the 100 planes are expected to bring roughly 1 billion € per year.

I really wonder what will change for the routes that will go from "Air France by Régional" to "Air France" but still operated on E-Jets...

Will it be AF staff or Régional or Hop??? What about "service"?

E5 for the miles. Too bad now not all AF flights qualify for miles.

So HOP by Air France operated by Brit Air? How ridiculous does that sound.

I wonder if Air France hire any external companies like Flybe to operate regional flying at a cheaper rate than currently?

Why does the plane have a Japanese flag on the rear?

The idea is that BritAir/AirFrance Régional/etc all disappear. From now on, they are all called "Hop! by Air France".

Japanese flag? Without knowing what photo you are referring to, I presume this is the red dot of the slanty exclamation mark that forms part of the "Hop!" logo.
