About 2 years ago, an AC bird was hit by a catering truck at LAX. On my flight down, there was a complete deadheading crew to bring her back.... and some very angry and delayed pax in the gate area when we deplaned.

We could almost use a new "It Happened Over Winnipeg" type thread for unrest - Chile, China, Colombia ....

I think every incident should have its own thread. And there should be a subdirectory or folder to contain it all.

I will admit, the first time I saw this thread the title confused me, but now I just know it as the master incidents thread.

And also, with regards to Tom Podolec in the post above, is he on this FT forum?

I had to look up where Noumea was.

Nothing useful in EF. I wonder what happened there?

Wonder why the backtrack to New Caledonia instead of Fiji, unless FR24 wasn't showing exactly where she was when she turned back?

As for useful info, um

Isn't this the second or third cracked windshield that AC has had in last 6 months?

Sounds like the brakes may have been partially on during take off? Otherwise how would they get hot?
