Thanks go to Michael at BRU for helping out me and the wife last week. We were doing ARN-BRU-YUL-YYC with 65 minutes to connect at BRU. No problem, right, as long as the inbound is on time? Well, it is if the immigration line is well over an hour long and the airport officials DGAF ("you should be at the airport 3 hours before your flight" - pretty hard to do when the airline sold me a 65-minute connection). Thankfully I called the main concierge line, they tracked down and connected me with Michael, and he got us fast-tracked through. No way we would have made our flight if he hadn't. So, thanks, Michael!

Kudos to the entire Delhi AC Concierge team!
I was on AC42 YYZ --> DEL routing last month (originating out of Vancouver), and upon arrival in Delhi, not one, not two, but THREE members of the AC Delhi concierge team (names escape me unfortunately :-( ) met me at baggage claim (before bags even had a chance to get on the baggage carousel) to advise me my luggage had not made the flight. They advised that my luggage never even left Vancouver, and was instead loaded on AC44 YVR --> DEL nonstop arriving just 5 hours later. As I had a connecting flight to Bangalore (separate reservation on a local Indian Airline (non-star alliance)) just 7 hours later, the concierge team met the YVR flight to claim my bag on my behalf, whisked it through customs, and personally delivered it to me at the ticket counter for my connecting flight.
THEN...upon my return home (this time AC45 DEL --> YVR nonstop), one of the Delhi Concierge team members (horrible with names -- but young female and super nice) met me at the ticket counter, checked my bags in for me (I didn't even have to approach the ticket counter for check-in), personally walked me to AND THROUGH both security and customs / immigration, and led me all the way to the Singapore Airlines lounge before my flight. THEN...she again met me at the gate for the 2nd round of security (another bag check and metal detector AT the gate in DEL) and personally escorted me through. Totally unexpected and WAY our of her way, but I couldn't have asked for better assistance.
So just wanted to recognize the entire Delhi AC Concierge team here. The proactive attention was quite a welcome sight, especially when you're dealing with a "delayed baggage" situation in a country in which you've never before visited! Great job and thanks!

I've had nothing but amazing help from the DEL concierge team, on three different occasions the last year or so.

Folks it seems focus has been lost again so 13 posts have been moved as the wider topic of what AC concierges can/should do is a matter for another thread on that very topic aptly titled "What exactly can/does the AC concierge do?" so please continue that discussion in that thread and keep this thread for thanking concierges as was intended.

Thank you to Niles in MUC
A big thank you to Niles (SP?), the concierge in MUC. He was at the check and while I didn't need any assistance he did brighten my day with his humor and birthday wishes. Sometimes these little interactions make travel more bearable.

I spoke to a couple of different airport employees who told me this was perfectly normal and it was my fault for not having arrived earlier. No special treatment for anyone, regardless of tight connections or anything else.

Yes, immigration exiting Schengen should be and usually is quick at most airports (first time I've done it at BRU, so I have no baseline for that one). But we spent over 40 minutes in the line and had gotten through under 2/3 of it, i.e. it would undoubtedly have taken well over an hour to get through. Originating vs connecting doesn't matter as it's all the same checkpoint, there's no special area for connections.
I was back there last November and gave myself extra time just on case, but the queue was pretty short that time.

I feel like I could put this in various threads, but:
I was (and still am?) booked on 738 SFO-YYZ today, scheduled to depart at 1210.
0015, email from Air Canada Flight Notification
(EF says mechanical, but if it's scheduling, do I get $400?)
Unfortunately this was right after I'd gone to bed, and I missed the early flight by the time I saw it this morning.
0542: Another email from ACFN telling me I'm now tracking AC 756 (1330 scheduled departure), meaning someone or something protected me on it. Given that it put me in Z on this (I'm P on 738), I suspect it was manual, since the automated systems are capable of forcing fare classes without the effort an agent would have to put in.
0653: Email from SFO concierge
Though no mention of the 756 protection.
0800: TripIt delay notification. This pisses me off.
So thanks for keeping me informed!

A big thanks to Crystal at the YUL call centre and a mystery concierge at YVR!
I got off AC 569 yesterday and managed to leave a case containing some cables, charger and my iPad under the seat in front of me. (I could blame my stupidity on the previous 25 hours of flying, but I was just an idiot.)
Got home, went to charge my iPad and freaked out. A quick call to the concierge line and Crystal took my info, opened up a lost item claim and then put me on hold for a few minutes to speak to her colleague in YVR. She came back on to tell me that they had retrieved the item and they would hang on to it. Picked it up today, thanked the two concierges who were there and went on my merry way.
I know this also involved the cleaners at YVR being observant and following procedure but I really appreciate the AC concierges for making this so easy.

YHZ, Denise.
Thanks for getting me out of stowage Y on a 777 today.
( O was nice, but only relative to what was before. I'd be ashamed to sell a mailbox as small as the hole between those legs and power supplies. Glad it was just 800mi )

DCA amazing concierge Karina
Had one of those days today, meeting concluded in MD, flying out of DCA back to YYZ. Got out of the Uber with multiple colleagues, moved quickly as I was the first one out but we were all cutting it close for our flights, and left my phone inside. Suffice it to say no one noticed it and I had no good way of contacting anyone. Now try and contact Uber without a phone with the app...
In any case I went to the gate, and DCA concierge Karina was super empathetic; helped me get on a later flight to buy some time, and continuously offered and provided assistance to help me get things sorted out. I eventually hours later got my phone back through no small effort, but Karina was there throughout. Can’t thank her enough. Made a stressful situation very bearable just by knowing someone had your back throughout. Kudos.
additional shoutout to gate agent Tamika who was Karina’s right-hand in helping me out. Many thanks to you both!!!

I don't know if this belongs here or not , however for people who knew Paul at ORD, he passed away this spring from Kidney problems.
He was a great concierge as is the team in ORD.
Was very sad to hear

From the YYC Do thread:
I would also like to add my thanks and sincere appreciation for the AWESOME Alana and Maggie in YYC. Alana came to the YYC MLL earlier in the day to let us know about the various options available to us should conditions lead to cancellation of flights. It was great to meet her in person and I really appreciated all that she did for us. Later in the evening, Maggie called and emailed us to let us know she was keeping an eye on the flights and following up on options we had for return flights. Maggie was great in keeping in touch and letting us know. I know how hard both of them worked to take care of all of us. Thanks !!!!!
