And looking at say the B789 and B777 fleets, how is it decided which ones get to fly and which ones are stored?
Thanks.
Suspect the later build 777's are flying because they are they 28J versions and therefore have more main deck capacity when the Y and PE seats are removed.

That seems extremely odd. A grounded aircraft really shouldn't be allowed to fly crew as passengers, should it?

Hmmm, perhaps I should have had 2 question marks and asked it this way instead:

Bringing the E190 crews home?

.... and exercise for the MAX Fin 523?

The crew are laying over and will be flying back on an A319 (sent specially from YYZ) tomorrow. Rest assured that the MAX was not used to fly crew as passengers.

Looks like the 77L fleet won't be needed for a while.

Ha ha not quite. Still more that half the 777 fleet is parked including all of the LR's. It will be interesting to see when the LR's actually return considering a fair number of LR's that were in service have been retired (Delta's 10 for example). SYD could be done with a 789, as could YYZ-HKG, unless of course the 10 J seats is a reason for their return. Wouldn't be surprised if they are some of the last aircraft to come out of storage.

Exclamation

Folks, a number of posts have been deleted as being very off topic for this thread which is most definitely not about COVID transmission which should be debated in the Coronavirus and Travel forum or in-depth fleet discussion which belong elsewhere such as this thread. This thread is about tracking parked AC aircraft so let's please return to that thread topic.
