That was indeed the final ferry flight on April 6th for AC's first A320. That aircraft also had a wall plaque in front of seats 1DF dedicated to the memory of
Captain Pete Dzulinksy (Manager Flight Standards A320) who passed away in 1990 and operated the first delivery flight between TLS & YMQ on January 26, 1990.

@ACYYZ/SD

I posted about that with photos and the post was moved to the Air Canada Master Fleet Changes Thread

More on the move to Asia; first stop NRT, maybe headed onward from there to SIN?

Currently in the air YYZ-NRT:
AC7155 789 C-FRSE
AC7153 77W C-FIVX
AC2289 77W C-FIVQ

And one on its way back NRT-YYZ
AC7156 789 C-FSBV

AC7155 has been going to PVG from NRT and back the last few days.

I was looking at these last night and forgot to post.

Would this have been the first YYZ-HKg on a B789?
Also, give that AC 7 was also on the way, would this have been the first time 2 AC B789s were in HKG at the same time?

This one was interesting.

I think the flight number starting in 7 is for cargo and starting in 2 is for a ferry flight (4 digit flight numbers), Someone else may be able to confirm this

Normally 7xxx flight #'s are ferry or positioning flights, but these don't seem to fall into that category. Could be running as cargo flights.

As an aside, AC only has 3 777s in the air right now - sad sight.

The tail of Fin 731 is also visible in the lower right corner of the pic.

There are three 77Ws at Pinal. They are joined by a trio of mainline A320s, plus a host of Rouge frames: a pair each of 319s and 320s, four 321s and five 763s. There is a gaggle of Dreamliners in San Antonio (KSAT), a mix of Dreamliners and 767s at Kansas City (KMCI) and a non-physically distanced party of Airbus narrowbodies gathering with at least one Rouge 763 at Melbourne (KMLB).

Any rhyme or reason as to the storage locations? Easier to turn the planes back to the lessors if that ends up being the outcome?

Available space in an agreeable climate at a reasonable cost. Proximity to a contracted maintenance facility is a likely factor for using Kansas City (787s at ATS) and Muskoka (E175s at Skyservice).
Note that most idle aircraft are parked at Canadian airports: on company property, parking/deicing pads and on unused gates.
