AC birds are being parked in various locations, which it seems you know.

And, we know AC has a flock of MAXs nesting in MZJ as per this photo (posted in the 737 MAX thread). So I would assume AC's arrangement with this part of the desert would allow some additional parking (although it's getting crowded with some other big birds having recently arrived). As for Texas, it's generally quite humid there, so not a great place to store aircraft - humidity, rather than temperature, is the biggest concern: (hot + dry) > (cold + dry) > (hot + wet) > (cold + wet).
Without having done any research on the issue at all, I would guess that MCI is better, from a humidity perspective, than most places in Texas.

Aircraft storage space was under pressure before COVID-19 due to the MAX fiasco, so the ideal storage places like VCV, ROW, GYR, etc may be getting full or prohibitively expensive.
