On the other hand though, 5 of the 6 777-200LRs and I believe at least 2 A330s are parked in VCV right now. One went last week and one going this week.

Right. Just above on Feb 6, I posted Fin 933 YUL-YCV. Somewhere upthread, I was sure it was noted that one of the 777-200LRs was in MZJ.

Is this info on Planespotters is current or almost current? I see that not all those that are parked have the locations listed, and C-FNNW is off at maintenance in SIN

Do you know how each of specific aircraft are chosen to be parked (beyond the 777-200LRs)?

Planespotters seems pretty current/close to current/accurate. It seems that whenever a plane is moved, someone will send in an update to planespotters and it gets updated within a day or two.

In terms of how they choose which specific aircraft to park, I am not sure.

And here she is now

If she's going to VCV for further maintenance and not a suntan, please advise and I'll move this post back to the Maintenance thread.

Probably just needs replacement props. But after that, I think we need to schedule a DC-6 Do.

Going to assume she has been refurbished (the A330 refurbishment thread says yes). Wasn't aware that maintenance was done in VCV. There are only 4 A330's in passenger service at present plus the 2 that are in the cargo configuration. One would have thought that 944 would replace 932 so that only refurbished birds would be in passenger service.

The chart from Planespotters that I posted above showed A333 fins 939, 940 and 941 are in cargo config, of which 1 is parked - Fin 939

939 is in RFD likely being refurbished along with the other 4 frames in RFD.

I find it so sad seeing all these AC planes parked as of late. Last night, 24left informed me that there were almost no AC planes flying that night. Such a stark contrast to last year, and so sad indeed.

FIN 749 is back from the desert.

https://flightaware.com/live/flight/CFKAU

Wonder if they are planning to take the seats out for cargo as none of the low-J 77W's are presently in passenger service.

In this photo, you can see at least 3 ML and 2 rouge birds. Can someone confirm if 2 other aircraft used to be rouge and are showing the design partially painted-over (i.s. 763s that are going to become cargo)? They're easy to spot as they and the AC aircraft are all in the lower portion of the photo.

@TechnoTourist

Right.
I can see the faint "AIR CANADA" and the C-GEOU on this one

This one only has part of the rouge design left on the tail, but I note that the white paint-over seems to completely cover the logos.

Also, look at the black markings above the front gear door or below right of R1. None of the other AC aircraft have this including the repainted fin above.

2 Maxes and a 77W (?). Would think they would be back in the operating fleet by now.
