Will it actually be AC coordinating this, or is Jazz doing this on their own if AC may have “furloughed” (I can’t think of a better word) Jazz aircraft and they can’t be used under the CPA? I know in the past Jazz has chartered DH1/3 aircraft, and AC was not involved at all (other than the fact the Jazz aircraft was painted in AC livery).

I read that as its going to be coordinated through AC Cargo, but there's nothing stopping Jazz from getting its own charter work, just so long as it does not impact the CPA activities.
Any of the Jazz fleet can be chartered outside the CPA, Jazz use to maintain a few planes for charter use only (2 Dashes and 2 RJs if memory serves me), but when a lot of the oilsands charters dried up, those planes lett the fleet. Charters are now covered by using down time of CPA planes.

I presume you jest in terms of China customs processing everything quickly. We had to truck stuff from PVG to PEK because of customs delays in Shanghai.

I'm curious why the PVG-YYZ cargo flight stopped at NRT. As we've discussed on this thread, the cargo flight is not carrying any more weight than when it used to be filled with self loading freight, and the 777 had the range to manage those flights non-stop .... so if be surprised if it was a range/fuel thing.
And if there's cargo coming in from NRT, I would have expected they would fill the bus to capacity at PVG and send a second bus just to NRT if there's need ....
A stopover just seems odd to me. Any ideas from the smart people here?

Take a look at the floors of the 773. They are taped off to indicate specific boxes/areas to put things. Why? I presume they're tying the nets to where the seat brackets used to go. Weight and balance? Even that seems off because more boxes may not indicate more weight (depends on what they're storing in the boxes)

I like the accordion-like conveyor belt thingy.
Could be more fun to ride than even an emergency slide.
