Leafs, not so much even if the recent games were against the league's best.

Habs have continued with their losing ways in 2018... hopefully we'll get to say goodbye to our egomaniacal, divisive and generally useless GM sooner rather than later.

Lol. I was the exact same way.

I was so glad that I didn't need to do grad school.

Then, 8 years later, I was looking forward to starting grad school.

I managed to avoid 3rd year school, but I'm quite afraid the GF is caught in academia.

Basically as she walked across the stage getting her BA (English)[1] mentally committed to taking at least a year off, the departmental secretary was all "sign this; 2 of the 13 bodies for the fully funded MA fellowships dropped out. We are past the deadline so can do ... ever we want. Initial here, here, and here, and show up on Sept 1."

And she did.

If any of you are familiar with the XKCD cartoon (and if you're not, you should be ... it's funny), today's cartoon is a spin on airport codes: https://xkcd.com/1937/

Jack, grad is not undergrad. But honestly, disciplined self-study reading the same literature results in the same rigorous mind. Discourse with similar minds helps too, which is why grad school is fun.

It's still NYE for me...

But that's really a misnomer. Really undergrad.

True. I remember doing a "postgraduate certificate" out of UK a decade ago, and mused at the nomenclature... sounded like some post PhD thing, but really just a 1-year silliness worth nothing.

Anyone here use the storage service called Second Closet? If yes, how do you like it?

please, no typical Ft responses of "I would never use that" or "why would you use that?" Or "how dare you use that."
